Well I had typed out a huge long winded explanation, but then decided why bother. This is insane. WHO CARES. I mean really. What the heck. I do 1 NP sales, I've never made a secret about that. When people ask why I have such high hits, my response is, "I price with the shop wiz, I do 1 NP sales, and I'm active on the boards with my shop link in my siggy." *shakes head* I'm SURE people have better things to do then try and see into my psyche as to why I do them. I certainly know that I have more important things to do then defend myself anymore over it. EDIT: As a matter of fact, I do believe I'll remove the counter now. Obviously it's not worth the headache, my sales speak for themselves. Oh and Dmitri....friend..or at least that's what I thought, I enjoyed your 1 NP sale, about a week ago. All sorts of goodies in there. See ya.

*squishes Nicole* I dont really know why people care if you do 1np sales to increase your hits or not. Thats your choice and its up to you if you want to lose nps (or not, if you do get more sales) from it. *shrugs* I think you're shop is great, you're always on the wiz and you have really cheap prices for a main market shop ^_^. I know you sell ALOT of items and it takes you ALOT of time to run your shop, so I am just in awe of how much time you spend on it ^_^. If you want to run 1NP sales to stay on top of the top shops, why not ? Thats your choice....

Wow geez! What's the hell just happened here??! Looks like someone bombed it or something. o.o The world trade center is that way *points towards NC Mall* No one else wants that spot anyways. We're just saying that you appear to want to hold that spot so badly and how odd it is that these sales pop up whenever you're about to lose it. Like i said, it could be just plain coincidence but still. But fine by me. Do whatever you want. Delete it, regurgitate it, I don't mind either way.

My Two Cents... I would love to see Nicann bring her counter back, I am so proud of her for her consistently amazing shop visits, they are only a reflection of how understanding the advertising venues available on Neo will bring you shop success. I have also tried to give Nicann a run for her money on shop visits. Honestly, it was a FUN race one day to see who could out-do each other in visits and advertising. We both laughed and shared the frenzy of Board posts and 1np sales to help bring people in. It was all in fun, and even though she retained her lead over my visits, it was an excellent reminder to me about the value of consistent advertising and pricing that builds a very successful shop. In terms of 1np sales, there is no difference between paying for NB ads (Advertising) and 1 np sales (Lost Leaders) to bring in visits. It's all lost NP designed to bring in visits and sales - and exactly what happens in real life Marketing and Advertising strategies. Shop success on Neo comes from multiple forms of advertising, not just NBs and 1np sales, it's also visibility SSW prices, SW prices, Hut Position, awards, pet page resources, etc. In real life, business that do well have a strong marketing mix, print, web, referrals, location, word of mouth, branding - you name it. For me, Neo is a fun way to explore real life marketing strategies - and although secret to my co-workers my neo shop and mall team made me a better artist, freelancer, manager, employee and business owner. The people who have mastered shop visits (whether they are in Roo or not) have sunk some serious time and NP into a part of the site that they really enjoy - Yay for Shop Nerds. Years ago the top shops on NeoHero was the motivation, information and inspiration I needed to try harder to master my own Shop. In the long run, it helped me build my account into what it is today. It also brought me together with an amazing mall team and a life-long group of friends. Nicann and the rest of the top mallers are to be applauded, it's REALLY tough to bring in that many shop visits, it takes a massive amount of time, energy and smart planning and pricing. I am thankful and proud of everyone who has done well in shop visits, it taught me years ago that even my tiny size 200 plushies shop could grow with the right marketing mix. The shop counter tool is an amazing resource and I'm very glad to have it back. It's an excellent source of information and inspiration. Thanks Dmitri for markting it available to everyone.

And having some tough competition is very healthy. It would be boring without it! Im still always amazed by Nicoles shop, even if I cant see her hits anymore. I cant imagine that anyone else works on their shops as much as she does :)

While I agree to some of the above, and also agree her counter should be in not out, there is something that will always bother me. She only ran 1np sales when she needed to get her shop back to the top spot. It seems obsession level to me. Sure I like being in the top few shops, and check obsessively to see how i'm doing :P But To run sales whenever i'm not top would just be stupid. If everyone did that can you imagine how flooded the shop ads board would be! Oh wait more and more people are already starting to do it ;) I also have to say, yes she works hard on her shop, wiz pricing is her thing. Loads of other people work hard on their shops too though. Personally i've been trying to build my stock up from my recent upgrade by malling alone. I've gone from having 200k, to stock with, to having over 200k on hand now and around 5 pages of stock. I have also done a couple more size upgrades since. My hits aren't always as great as they used to be, but sales are nice all the same. As my rather clever boyfriend put many pages ago :* The focus should be on raising ones hits for themselves to see what exposure we can get and extra sales, and not to be the top shop *unsure* Finally, I have to disagree with the noticeboard comment. I rarely lose neopoints from being on ads, and if I find i'm taking part in one thats regularly not working well for me, then I drop it. I'm sure thats probably true for many people, not all, but many.
