Lol wow I never refund stuff because I got scammed doing it once when I first started malling, plus I figure its their mistake

No I don't refund either, but then I also rarely mail people back. I usually only get the 'wow your prices are high' neomails anyway

I guess I am a softy, I think it was a very nice thing to do... Scammed or not, n00b or not, it is a game after all. Just sad to hear she was such a complete air head.. Well done dumped old guy!!!

I do refund stuff but, yeah, they almost always turn out to be annoying and then try to get more out of it :K A few months ago, I got a neomail from a girl threatening to report me for scamming saying that I say everything in my shop is wearable. I don't say that and even have a big note saying "items that end in 8 are wearable." So even though she was being annoying, I offered to buy back anything she bought mistakenly. (Her name wasn't in my shop history, but I do sell 4-5 items under 1k.) Then, she goes and buys a non-wearable item from my shop - a cheap collar, I think. Now thinking that she's just playing dumb and trying to get me to visit her shop for some nefarious reason, I asked her to put the item in trades (even though she just bought it) and we went back and forth a few times - saying her pets are hungry and crap like that - before she finally did. I even bid a few cheap food items in addition to the NPs just to get rid of her. She then went and bought something else from my shop, and I quickly blocked her because I just couldn't deal with it anymore. I think there was more to it, but I'd rather not try to remember all the annoying details. But be prepared to get a lot of neomails like that if you have a wearables shop. B)

That seems absurd to me. Is the staff that strict with such things? I am pretty quiet I have never had any problems for anyone on the show before, but I hear about such things a lot. What if she had reported you? Would they just freeze your account no questions asked? Is it all one word against another? Can you get frozen for hurting someones feeling on accident? Is it all that sensitive?

I've never been asked to give a refund. However, I was once asked if I would give back 2 items that I sniped from someone... they said they had made a mistake in pricing. Hmmmm, nope. :P

I used to get quite a bit of mail when I had a wearables clothing and grooming shop. Since selling wearables only though i've had very little trouble. I'd probably refund if someone mailed though.

It's nice to offer a refund if someone wants one, but for the most part, I think it's unnecessary. People should do their research before they buy. What I don't understand is, sure, maybe she didn't realize only Nimmos could wears the jammies. But she doesn't have a Nimmo. You were offering her a refund, so why would she want to keep the jammies that she can't do anything with? It's so simple, she trades the jammies, you offer. But she doesn't understand that. You don't buy a TV, expect a refund and then offer a microwave in exchange for the refund. Where is the logic here? If you are returning something, you can't keep it. Oh, boy.
