I am in a 4m NB ad in 4th position right now and I have gotten 7 NB hits... Also price has nothing to do with how many hits I get, unless if they are wiz hits. When I was size 350 I only got maybe 20-40 mall hits everyday .. and my hits consisted of wiz hits. Actually when I'm active I do try to push 200-300+ wiz hits.. I havent stocked my shop in 2 days and I am struggling with only 73 wiz hits atm (compared to 223 mall hits). Personally I like to get a balance between mall/other/wiz hits.. Its like mall hits = what is given to you, and wiz hits = hits you've worked for. To be honest, a mini mall isnt a good-enough solution to get into main since Main is almost 40 million now. Of course mini malling will help but that should not be the only income. Focus on restocking in the Neopets Shops (or sniping). Even reselling works good too. Mini malling should be treated as supplemental income and of course a source of important malling experience. Since i'm beginning to see a pattern - people are expecting too much and then when they dont get much, it starts "depressing" them, for the lack of a better word, which causes people to start changing malls. Low expectations are often good :P So if it sucks, you dont get disappointed lol Think of mini malling as internship. You need it, but you cant expect to earn $100,000 from it But basically, NB ads at this time isnt good. Neopets peak time is 30k online users. 30k used to be the night time online users. The marketplace is sucking so much since newbies arent coming on neopets. Yesterday I had record low sales for sure. JUST broke the 100 mark. I think that in a mini mall at least half of your items should be wiz priced. I think that even main malls should have 1/4 of their shops wiz priced, but that's just wishful thinking. Mini malls hits mostly come from the wiz. I'd say about 95 percent of the hits are from the wiz, and that most, if not all, mall hits are from a shop that was found through the wiz.

low shop hits certainly is crappy - especially when you're paying for a nb ad. however, these ads are optional in the nursery mall. i also agree that in some cases a person can make a good profit with just a few customers. i depends on the day, the person, and the stock i guess. i would think that if a person isn't making any profit they would leave the mall they're in - but not everyone's in a mall just for profits. i personally just like our mall =) in light of helping the current members before recruiting - well... a full mall is essential. an empty spot means fewer opps for additional shop hits as well as fewer nb ad funds (and believe me - there's unbelievable pressure from members when there are a lot of empty spots). and as a previous mall owner i can certainly relate to the old saying "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink". i've tried to help people with their shop hits before and if they're not willing to make the changes, or if they're happy with their current situation, you can't really do anything about it (as long as they're following the mall rules). _________________ A Parent, A Shaklee Rep, a Blogger, and a Neo-Addict...

I would only be at maybe size 400 right now. I was making close to nothing, but the knowledge that I gained and the practice made it worth my while. Of course after a month I got sick of the profits so I decided to make a change to main. I can tell you right now that my cumilative profit from malling since I began in October has only paid for a little more than a third of the cost in upgrades. I am 30m away until my shop has paid for itself and out of 15m that I have made malling (since October).. 11m of that were from December/January (Main Market) whereas I only made about 4m in all of October/November. I am in the smallest branch of the mall(s) in question, so I can honestly say that the way things are right now is not worth it. I think I got a record 4 mall hits today. As for total hits, I probably get around 70-80 a day (almost all from the shop wizard of course), and the profits are awful when compared to how much I must restock since nothing that isn't near sw price doesn't sell. Profits from restocking are what have been keeping me going. I've been looking for other ways to maybe make some extra neopoints but I am scared of reselling (lol) and am not patient enough for the stock market.

When I was in malling, I was in a pretty prominent mall that did 4 mill NB ads and even then, I got like 14-20 hits from mall members a day along with decent hits from the 4 mill ads. In my experience, being in a mall doesn't get you too many hits unless you're in a very well established mall of a high caliber. But as said earlier, the hit count still won't be huge. In my opinion, to really get a profit from malling, I would have had to dedicate a lot more time to Neopets in general and advertising on the boards especially because I'm not even close to Main Market. Although I always got good prices with decent prices. Truthfully, my prices were at best decent, and not very low. As for the Hits vs. sales issue, I think stock plays a large part but the fact that it's a mini mall just automatically says that there aren't much hits you're going to get within the mall (Through members and such). Just my opinions; I'm pretty sure malls with mostly Main Market shopkeepers do the best.

I know that when I'm getting less than 10 hits I'm losing NP (I'm currently independent and just starting to grow my shop) I seriously believe low hits = shop needs work. I found that by just putting my shop link in my Neo siggy I got four times the hits and about twice the sales.
