Notice Board Experiment & Poll
I bought an ad for 1016 Neopoints that peaked at page 35. I got 6 hits in a week. I think that is pretty good for what I paid for it. I just wanted to see how it worked, the notice board thing and to see how many hits I could get in the middle of the board. How many hits to you guys get? 4 MILLION NB AD Hits How many on average? I am GUESSING 430/week Most hits? 275ish in a day I think Least hits? I Just posted my first ad board with the counter so i will be interested to see how this week goes but today I already got 30 hits which is good for my little shop. Also the ad I posted was for my mall so it's not just my shop being advertised, if that makes a difference :) Less than 4 MILL NB AD Hits How many on average? N/A Most hits? 40 Least hits? Never done an exact study but it would be around here 4 MILLION NB AD Hits How many on average? 10 Most hits? around 45 (when ad peaks) Least hits? 2 Should add I have only have had 3 peaks (and I missed seeing how many hits the one time the ad I was in was on top)

I've never been part of a 4mil ad, and I haven't had a shop counter long enough for my statistics to do you much good, but I've posted quite a few cheaper ads on the notice board. I've found they do make a difference, if you can get them in the right spot on the notice board. It's good to be on the very last page (cheapest), but that's a hard spot to keep because people will bump you off every few hours. The day I installed my shop counter, I had a notice board ad on the 3rd or 4th page from the last, and I was surprised how many hits I got from it. I forget now, but I think it was around 6 hits, which I thought was fantastic, considering I only get about 40 hits a day from all sources. ~ Love books? 4 MILLION NB AD Hits How many on average? If you're talking about per day, that would bring it to be around 20 Most hits? 100 per day. Least hits? 5 but I'm guessing at this point. I had a 4m peak and only got 275 hits which is terrible since in 2007, it used to add 1000+ hits to my regular hits

4 mil - peak on a saturday led to 649 hits... least for 4 mil... - least 4 mil ad peak day hits was something like 400 - least 4 mil any other day hits, not sure, maybe 50.

I think maybe users need to be educated about the Notice Board...I happened upon it by accident when I first started playing and after they took away the pictorial banner I forgot about it. Amazing that it's right there and I never read it... To me, the board just doesn't seem worth it. I prefer to price my items well and draw the attention that way. Then, I don't have to pay absurd amounts of nps for the ad!
