100 million for one size? Egad! I had no idea!!! :o No, I wouldn't want to wish that on anyone! :o Yea, if the frozen ones have been removed, then it must be better than last time I checked. Just a few non-stocking shops would not be a significant problem for customers. I was thinking customers would be clicking on empty so much they'd give up and go look elsewhere. :P Yea, the stock market is wonderful, but slow going unless you can catch one of those super hikes. I'm watching HELT like a hawk right now, hoping it will make one of it's historical 200+ runs. I'm risking a lot by waiting (1 mil) but I've never gotten in on a big jump before, so I figured it's worth a gamble. I could jump all the way to main market if it runs. ;P What do you mean by investing? Like buying up rare and retired items? You must be very savvy at making judgement calls. I don't have the knack for that! LOL! I can't count how many millions I've lost to prospects that got Tarla'd or dropped like a rock for no apparent reason. LOL! I still have like 30 "Mysterious Valentines Card" that I bought for 85k-ish (my life savings, at the time) hoping to sell for 300k on Valentine's Day. Now they are 7k or something. LOL! I did the same thing with paint brushes that got Tarla'd and KeyQuested. I seem to be the anti-investor. :P I did make about 3 mil on that recent book/orange juice avie frenzy, though. That was really fun! :D ~ Love books? Please visit my bookshop. :) http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=lolooma

I would never invest in a Tarla item, ever. Maybe the Paintbrushes since they get used? I invest in things that are eliminated upon use - in particular stamps. Then, add in other factors for random items - such as being retired/released as a prize for something once. Viola :*

You should invest in one use items, stamps sure, but also books, some foods, some battledome items, and even some clothing and neohome items (because they typically enter a closet or home and don't come back out). I've found a fair bit of success in hoarding retired items, much more than the stock market or with my shop; shop size 331 (average), and near 1.5 million shares (shares, not NP) in the stock market. And HELT dropped from near 80 to 63. I'm hoping it'll go back up... And, from the previous posts, I'd like to see TNT remove inactive and empty shops from the marketplace. It's effectively a closed store, and shouldn't be taking up the space active stores could use.

I can't restock at all. Never could get it. My 515 sizes came from stocks and mini malling.

The reason I suggested getting rid on inactive shops is to help newer people who will be able to compete and getting rid of the dead weight. I am MM shop size and it took an amazing effort over 4 years. The thought process was to be able to get good stores competing with each other and maybe get rid of some of the people who overcharge so much for things. I think it is wrong of people to charge 1000nps for an item that cost 100nps. If good shops are easier to find, more competitive price will take place and those that take advantage of people with what I consider "over inflated prices" will suffer from there own attempts to take advantage of people. Now, I know this post will be very unpopular, chances are if you don't like this post you are either over charging--excessively--which in my opinion means you are taking advantage of others or you are very self-centered and don't want to help newer people with smaller shops succeed with there goals and make it easier for more competitive shops in the MM. In the end, it is a game and everyone should be able to have fun, and not be taken advantage of and be able to reach there goals in less that 4 years of almost constant work. My shop was built mostly on shop profits, you won't find a fancy home, fancy clothes, a fancy gallery(most gallery items were donated by a dear friend) or even fancy battle dome or any other major stats. I have spent almost all of my time on my shop. I am not complaining cause that is what I have chosen to do. I think the accomplishment to MM is way too hard for a majority of casual players to achieve. Getting rid of EMPTY stores (inactive would stay as long as items are available for sale) would help younger players set and acheive goals and at least be able to get into Spooky with reasonable effort. Spooky seems like a trivial effort at this point now that I am in MM--but try to remember how hard it was to get started and how excited you were to reach goals like size 100 and sppoky marketplace. That would only work in an idealistic perfect world. Sorta like how there's no un-employment, hunger, or suffering in the real world
