Well what do you expect with lame site events like Save The Wheels and Style Showdown, really... I want an actual plot, or a war. There are tons of things I hate about Neo nowadays. Besides from the lack of great plots, I hate the entire customising thing... Obviously a way to make money, and I just miss the days when having a painted pet was already amazing. And the unconverted Neopets looked so great. Sigh. Not to mention the avatars, which everyone loved, and now they're barely releasing any new ones.

I will definitely disagree on the Customization thing. NC MALL is a way to make money. NC Mall sells lots of Customization items. True. There are MANY MANY great non NC items for customizing, and I love the entire idea. Yes, many UC pets look better than the new ones, but not all of them, some I think look better now, and being able to play 'dress up' with your pet is a GREAT idea.' Where I don't like it is any competition where having NC items give you an edge over people with Non-NC items. The Style Showdown is the prime example of this. I also do NOT like NC giving any bonus in other things, including non-NC items. Getting NP Bonus Items from NC cards is the exact opposite of what they are saying with 'you cannot trade NC items for NP items, or make NP off of NC items.' Well, cashing in the cards does EXACTLY that. As soon as there are 'NC Books' or 'NC Gourmet Foods' that count towards those awards? Then I'll have a HUGE problem with NC. Customization itself, on the other hand, I believe is an awesome step in the right direction for overall improvements to the site. Beyond 'plots' and 'wars', there needs to be more to keep the site fresh and appealing to new players, and I think customization is/was one of those things, and I applaud TNT for it, especially for the amount of time and effort it took to create, and takes to maintain and improve.

Wow, I just can't believe there use to be a time when 150k people was the beak :| No wonder all of the older MM players have such huge markups on their items. Because they could... Now we can't, and everything is shop wiz priced. =\ Now it seems like...what's the point of being MM? Zixi, I don't know, it's just not my cup of tea. I remember that a few years back, the color of your pets was a lot more important and exciting than it is now. And I miss that. Right now, a pet with a basic colour can basically look like a painted one if you slap a bunch of clothes on them. I'd probably have a lot less trouble with it if the clothes were NP only... Because now you don't need to put any trouble into making your pets look good, you just need to put money into it. And on a different note, I was SO pissed off several times during the AC because apparently their programmers are unable to test their code before they release it. So. Many. Bugs.

I know there are many aspects of Neo I'll probably never touch or even understand. As for the few years back, well, that was the way it was back in '02. If I had been playing straight through from '02 until now, I wouldn't be very excited by just painting a pet anymore, even with the occasional new colors that come out, etc. With a shrinking user base, I would hate to see how much less it would be if new features like that were NEVER released, it would likely be even smaller than it is now :(

But I still don't like it. XD I just wish we could have a cool plot or a war again, really... The only fun event is the AC, for me, and even though I don't imagine they have to put a lot of effort into it (it's the same thing every year?) they still manage to screw it up all the time.
