Annoyance - people making my hits in the red!

Disclaimer - I merely need to rant, this isn't aimed at anyone specific, past, present or future people! It seems everyday now someone different is on a mission to run 1np sales on the shop ads board. This down right pisses me off for the following reasons 1 - Often the person would have shit hits otherwise anyway - so stop faking at trying to look a good maller and actually go out there and put effort into making your shop amazing (disclaimer - not always the case with all people who do this) 2 - You are making my hits in the red due to mass clicking of the misc option and other option. I HATE being in the red, red is ugly, I was in the green for everything except sw, (working on that :P) how dare you people who do this make my page have ugly redness :( 3 - Yes I full on admit it, I want a shot at that top spot!!! I refuse to be a hypocrite and run my own sale though! I so needed to get that rant out of my system

Possibly, or maybe it's just complete bull that people actually make profit from doing it ;) I believe it to be crap, so as a once off, I am going to try it, just so I can confirm how crap a theory it is. I will post my till and stats here at regular intervals... just got to hope no legit sales give my till a crazy boost while proving the point :P

I cleaned out some of my SDB junk a couple weeks back but without making a board. I didnt make anything. And all i got was an extra 10 hits. Plus it's risky anyways. A mod in a bad mood might even ice you for attempting to scam

I don't know how you are running your sales but I did them one time a few months ago and found that I had better results when I told them that everything would be random. The time the items were put out, the number of items, ect. and just tell them that once 20 minutes or so were up then no more items would appear. It kept them constantly poking around my shop and looking at my stock. I can believe that Dmitri, I suppose i'd best post some really long essay about becareful where you click etc! I must say it doesn't matter what method people use, as i've seen a few, everyone who does it seriously DRAGS it out! Usually until they hit top of the hits table, i'm not going to do that :P I just want to see my shop till not go up ;) Annoying though, as my shop gets sales anyway every few minutes at this time of day, so all I can do is gauge it against how i'd normally do!

If i did 1np sales like that, I'd probably easily get 3000 hits a day lol. Imagine if i wiz priced my items as well. Then i'd probably go over 4000 lol But yeah, ever since these counters came up, the amount of "1np sales" sky rocketed.

I really don't think it's worth it. I've never made any profit from doing a 1np sale, tried it once found it to be pointless.
