Paint Brush Advice?
K, I am super-new at malling. I used to RS Furniture, but I keep sending it all to my sister, so I gave up xD Now I have the Paint Brush/ Petpet Pb/ Morphing Potions Spot in a Mall. I've got stock, working on the prices... Any general advice? I'm spank'n brand new at this.

I have never done paintbrushes before so I am not the one to ask but here is just some general stuff to improve your shop: - Center out your shop counter so it does not make the shop banner un-centered as well. - Include a shop banner above your mall banner. (I will attach a sample one from neomallers) - You could include Sparkly Blue Paint and Sparkly Green Paint to your stock as well.

I do see the *center* command in your shop code, so it looks like the reason your banner is off center is because there is no break between the bottom of your banner and the top of your shop counter. If you use the *br* command (between brackets, not stars) it will move the shop counter below your banner and that should center things. I assume so, anyway. The shop front is nice, I like your specials and stuff. The prices may be a bit high for a small shop, but I don't know your traffic pattern or customer base. I always fool with my prices until I find a good balance. I usually start pretty low and just keep raising them until my sales slow down enough that I can keep up with the restocking. This can change during different times of the month or year, though. There is definitely an art to pricing. I think we are all constantly learning it. :) ~ Love books? D:
I think many people put shop banners so that they draw attention when viewing huts/marketplaces. I've chosen to only include a large link in mine, though I think people are more drawn to the banners.

Obviously, never sell PB'S that are worth 100,000 NP+ for 99,999 NP in your shop.

Thanks so much for the comments & suggestions guys. I should have included a link to my shop xD
- Center out your shop counter so it does not make the shop banner un-centered as well. - Include a shop banner above your mall banner. (I will attach a sample one from neomallers)
Whoops, didn't realize it wasn't centered, I'll fix that, thanks. Shop banner -- I didn't think of that. My Mall likes our shops to be fast loading, but that's STILL a great idea, I love the banner. I'll have to talk to my mall owner 'bout that. (And I could put one on my userlookup :o) Question: What do you guys think about low-cost Notice Board Ads? I noticed today that this one guy has like a zillion 4k ads xD I may have to try that out, just for fun.
The shop front is nice, I like your specials and stuff. I think I'll try it your way xD I kinda want a nice profit, but... ya. The art of pricing :D
Obviously, never sell PB'S that are worth 100,000 NP+ for 99,999 NP in your shop.
xD Thanks! o.O Long post. But thanks so much for the feedback guys, and taking the time to look. I gotta clean up my code.... You've given me stuff to think about :D Thanks!
- You could include Sparkly Blue Paint and Sparkly Green Paint to your stock as well.
Hm. I didn't want to include this in my other post -- I've got a question about that. So, you really think 'extras' (non-paint brush items) are okay? I know some people include paint brush plushies, sparkly paint, collectables.... I wasn't sure. I don't want to trick people, or confuse them, but.... I don't know. I just hate when people try to sell baby paint brush plushies for 590k, didn't want to be like that. Do you think pb plushies are okay? Should I try for more than 1 page of stock? Thanks so much :D

I think it's a good idea to stock the extras. I've found stocking neggs that collectors will buy those extras for their gallery. I had one person spend close to 1 million just on the extras and didn't care what my prices were because they were all in one place.

If it were me, I'd include any item that relates to painting. Sparkly paints, books on painting etc.
