Hi everybody!
I was just wondering if there is a limit to the number of items you can restock from neopian shops in a given day. This is what happened.
I was refreshing like usual and everything was fine. I then did some shop wizzing of items I just bought. Twenty minutes later I go back to refreshing the garden center and BOOM-restock ban.
Please don't tell me that I refreshed too often, I obviously didn't.
Anyway, what I wondered was-is there a limit to the quantity of items you can buy from the shops on a given day?
I noticed that it only happens when I'm going for large quantities of cheapie items buying up 5 to 10 per restock. I'm guessing that you are allowed 200 to 250 items per day.
Is this true? Does Neo limit buying in this way?
I also noticed that the "too much stuff bought" ban seems to only last 12 hours whereas refreshing too quickly tends to last 24 hours or more.
Any thoughts? Has anyone ever tested this?
Thanks in advance.

On half price day I buy hundreds of books to restock my shop and have never had a problem. Its an interesting concept but I cant see that an item limit would ever apply to the shops.

So, how does this explain my restock ban? Remember I had been shop wizzing for a while and the first refresh, on the first shop back, got me banned.
Maybe I'll count the items I buy and see how many I get before I'm banned. Sponderolas, fire bushes and cream rugs here I come. I might try it tomorrow.
I'm betting its 250 items per day. (Oh, my ban ended 12 hours later :D

Random coincidence. I do a lot of rsing, and it seems that refreshes build up over a period of time leading to an eventual ban. For example, I can refresh, say 5 hours on and off one day and not get banned. Then the next day refresh for 5 minutes before getting banned due to the refreshes from the day before adding up to the ban.

Thanks kirsty, I hadn't thought of that aspect of it. That makes sense. I'm still going to try and count on days when I'm buying large quantities of stuff and see if there is a pattern.

Yeah and i also noticed that once you're banned, wait a bit, and you wont get banned so quickly again next time
