Hee. I like Ivonne's answer. Making neopoiints is definitely a great motivator. I generally like restocking, but yes, if you are getting tired or crazy, then taking a break is a good solution. And now I want ice cream, too. Glad to hear your sales have been tremendous, Kirsty. I really hope it slows down to a manageable rate for you, though. I can't imagine restocking that many items.
Oh ice cream :D haha! That would work well right now. Thats really true actually, I suppose i'd be complaining less if I was stocking with the ssw. Just stock until it dies and then go do something else. Malling with the sw it takes a lot of effort to get it to give up on you, so its all i'm doing most the time when online, along with bumping my boards... probably does feel like a job right now!
I have days like this too -- it feels like a job and I just want to be finished so I can do something else. I spent all of my neotime on SSW until it died then SW until it died before I found NeoMallers. Once I found the portal I got my permanent prices on items hammered out. Now I stock from my SDB, put the portal price on it -- a few days later (if it hasn't sold) I go and check the price and generally by that time I am not feeling that stocking is a job because I am caught up. So much of my shop is just getting people inside my shop so I have found magic prices that always get shoppers though SW but aren't the lowest and I still make an okay profit. Having the portal has allowed me to see the fluctuations in prices of items too so that I know when to stock what and for how much to get it to sell. Thanks Dmitri! _____________________________________________________ ~ Mimi's Ménagerie Avatars ~ http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=temps_bons&misc

I always listen to music while stocking my shop. It passes the time faster and makes restocking more enjoyable. :D

If I start getting nuts about it I just start stocking the high priced items, run out of neopoints and am forced to find something else to do. Lately I always have a thousand empty spots and no points to fill it. :(

Maybe you could change categories to backgrounds and let someone else do the stocking? :p you could also raise your prices by 10-25%, that should slow down your sales a little

Before I had raised my prices 100-200 for each item, I had to restock every second, it seemed. I was ALWAYS out of stock. So raising prices def. helped out, but now that the Style Showdown thing came, I'm STILL running out of stock. Now, when I am RS, it does seem to feel like a chore because I can't ever find good deals, even with the SSW. So, I quit and played some games. Now I feel like RS again. I think taking a break and finding something else to do (whether it be on Neopets or a whole other site) does help, because RS is repetitive. Or, maybe set yourself a goal: when you get 100 items or so RS, you get to take a break and play a game, etc. That helps me. Malling is fun for me, but also repetitive. So, hopefully, when this whole Style Showdown thing goes away, it will be as fun for me as it was in the beginning.

I feel you pain really I do. I have restocked at leas twice a day for the last three days and I am down 500 items again. Not counting all the free space I still have in my shop. Items Stocked : 2658 · Free Space : 1807 The thing that I have found helps me the most when restocking is to get on yahoo and chat it up. That way I have a bit of a small distraction from the endless searching.

I find when I'm chatting while stocking my shop, the wiz last longer.
