Selling: How many items a day is comfortable?

I'm just wondering how many items per day most people feel comfortable selling? I know when the restocking gets crazy it's time to raise prices and sell less items, but for more profit each, but I'm not sure what that level is? My internet connection is slow, so I've always assumed I don't restock as much as others do, but I'm really not sure. How many items are people normally selling per day? For my shop size and budget, I can't do what the huge shops do - buy in bulk buy to restock from my SDB (only in my dreams :P ), so all my restocking is one item at a time from the SSW. How much is too much? I'd really like to know what is normal for SSW restocking volume. Please give your two cents - and your shop size. How many items do you sell per day? Thanks! :) ~ Love books? Shop size 1636 - items selling approx 200 a day! I don't wiz price anything, and my prices are quite expensive IMO *cry* I feel more comfortable selling around 100 items a day. I've always enjoyed stocking my shop, so in the days when it was smaller I probably still spent several hours maxing out my ssw on it. I don't think there is such a thing as normal though, everyone runs their shops differently and then of course there is category differences too. I think i'd quit malling right now if I had to wiz price even half of my stock :P (This being a bad day though, you saw my rant about not being able to keep up with stock *lol*)

Shop size: 399 Hm, I don't like restocking as much. I think its a waste of time putting items in my shop every single day. This is why I only price almost all of my items either with a double or triple mark-up. Since I'm in a main market mall and I advertise a lot in the shop boards, I definitely can get away with this. My hut position currently is not bad. My profit average is around 100k-200k. And my highest profit day would be in 400k-500k range and that's when I sell lots of map pieces. I think my profit average is pretty low but since I don't like stocking as much and I rely on other sources of income (e.g. trading, auctions, etc.), this does not bother me. In regards to your question, I sell for profit not for items. In average, I sell about 15-30 items.

I average 100-200 items sold per day. If its less than 100, Im not happy :K I like selling about 200 a day, I dont think I'd want *too* much more than that tho. But I have a simple training category hehe :D

I'm size 409 and currently sell 200-250 items a day. That is a number I like. it's quite manageable for me. Sometimes I sell 400 items a day and it stresses me out to restock since I like to have my store completely stocked at all times. But I do restock mostly from my SDB so for the most part it's not too bad. I understand not wanting to buy up stuff in bulk, but if you have time to restock from the Neopian book shops, it'll really save you time and give you greater profits. Maybe six months ago, I would always make sure I was among the five lowest on the wiz. I have since learned that that isn't necessary since I can mark things higher and they still sell out fast. I don't do 100% markups, though. I need to experiment with that. But basically, marking things 100 nps higher than I used to (for things under 1,000 nps) has saved me time and given me more profit since they still sell at a good rate but don't go so fast that I go crazy. I absolutely hate when people devalue items. Also make a note of your best sellers and try to concentrate on maybe restocking those a lot and then you can just restock one by one for the items that aren't as popular. Some of my best sellers don't even show up on the shop wiz and I am still completely bought out each day. I don't understand why, but yay! Now if I sold more gourmet items, I would care less what my overall number of sales were, but since most of my sales are 2,000 nps and under, I do like high numbers of items sold.

~ May ~ I'm size 275 (as of yesterday, been updating) Well, my portal will say I sell 2 to 20 items a day... But I sell WAY more than that that are under 1k... I believe I sell way over 100 items, on the day I was on a peak nb ad, I sold over 200 in the first 12 hours... So over 100 a day sounds right... It's not comfortable and I have a lot in my sdb.. I don't buy in bulk, but sometimes when I find one shop with the item for a decently cheap price I buy 2 or 3 extra ones (I keep 2 of everything in stock) and mark them as having more in the SDB so I can stock quickly when I need :P
