Well while we're tlaking about that I'll put my question..
I stock cheap-o toys too and they seem to sell well (I mean, toys worth 1np to 10np)...
I sell the 2 usuki sets that are given on keyquest - they are worth 1np, I buy them in BUNCHES for 1np each.. And I sell for 15np and even so I sell at least 2 or 3 a day... Potgacherki (?) plushies are worth 1np and I sell for 12, there are days I sell 10 of those..
I was wondering if maybe I should price them a bit higher or just enjoy the customer flow and let it be since, well, 5np plus or less on the item won't really make a difference but another customer will...
I'd say increase the price, because customers really shouldn't care, and even if they did, you'll be less busy with things to do and items to stock. Increasing the price also means five more np for you! :o

I'd definitely increase the price. Petpet maps, which are my cheapest item, I buy for 600-800 np, and sell for 1500 np... and despite the large markup, they still sell more than any other item in my shop. :/ If they'll buy them for even a slightly higher price, you might as well have the markup... after all, 5 np at a time eventually adds up. :O

I price SW according to my username, which lands me in the RE4 page. If I go 4th or 5th on that page, I still get massive SW hits. Usually, though, RE4 is one of the higher-priced SW pages. Therefore, I can buy low, price least/second least on my page, and still make a tidy profit. I try not to do a standard 100-500np per item, etc. markup - it really does depend on the item.
It also depends on the category. I can usually price my battle items higher than my medical items, for example.
I price my items depending on the cost to purchase the item, and how well it sells. As in, for all items under 1000np, I price them anywhere from 100~500np higher then what I buy them for. If I find one item to be selling fast, I'll price that item higher by 100np, and lower the cost by 100 if something was selling slow. For items that cost 1000~10,000np, I'll price them 500~1000np higher then the shop wiz price, and for items over 10,000np, I'll price each at least 1000np more. Occasionally I will stock some items (from freebies, dailies, or whatever) and price them cheaper then the shop wiz (by a few neopoints xD) to attract customers, but I'll never buy an item for more then I can sell it for. This way I still make profit, however small it may be.
That's a good idea! Thanks :D
I think I'm going to do it that way. ;)
I'm currently size 74 and converting my normal shop to a clothing and wearables one for a mall.
I price my non-mall items according to the SW, and if it doesn't sell i just lower the price a bit (it's mainly packrat so i don't remember for what i bought them)
I sell the mall items just with profit, i try to stay close to SW prices, because i'm small. For the mote expensive items I can make like 1k+ just by buying things with SW and selling them at a higher price.

I sell the 1 np items in my shop for 100 and don't sell as many (I sell about 1 a day) but I prefer to use my shop space to make more than 99 nps profit. I think if people SW the price of those items they won't find you so the customer flow isn't being affected -- the buyers are probably people already in your shop so I'd bump the price a little more (to 69 - 73 and see what happens).

Hope this gets seen.
I have put Furniture, Cards & PetPets in my shop at lowest SSW to raise a bit of NP
from some of the junk kept in my SDB. By lowest I mean quite a bit lower so that it sales immediately.
I will be going thru different catagories over the next 2 days & doing the same. Anything in my shop
that is not Wearable will be priced lowest. Also the low Priced items end in 0.
Just passing this on to the Mallers . I will of course refund anything that gets beat by the SSW
I'd say have a few inviting items, SW priced items, then most items Markups so that you draw more SW traffic, which will bring it to all of your mall in many possibilities causing more bookmarks made on your mall and more visits to your shops.
People see 15 good prices, assume all is good. Their loss! Have fun.
