Yes, its worth it. I have an avatar directory and when I advertise it in the shop boards, it usually sells like hot cakes. It also helps if you have a nifty banner in your shop that tells you what are avatar items and its benefits and such.

I never finished my avatar page but linked a guide and told them to buy the items in my shop and did a rather great profit. I stocked tons of Orange, Starry, Sloth, Speckled, Spotted items and even advertised that they could gallery shop in my shop as well.
