Advice on Category Change?
So I've been thinking a lot recently, and while I do like stocking wearables & I make good profit off of it, I think that the only category I truly /loved/ stocking was battle/magic. I'm pretty sure I'd like to make the switch, but I'm thinking maybe I should wait just long enough to pull off enough profit to do some upgrades, invest in new stock, etc. {Without having to rely solely on the np that I currently have + stock liquidation} And I also have a few goals that I think I should accomplish before I make the switch. {just pet painting/morphing, etc} Does this seem like a logical plan? I'm thinking maybe make the switch for the new year; that way I can milk all the profits off of seasonal items, while collecting some battle/magic items in my sdb on the way. {I've already started doing this} Also, this is a bit random, regarding AC prize points. I haven't used any of mine, so I still have 22,590, and I'm wondering, the Yooyuball Net Shield Goal is currently the most profitable item, in ratio per prize points, correct? {400 points each, at about 24k np for each one} Think this price is likely to increase by much, or would it be better to just buy and sell them now? {Though these would also fit in with my stock if/when I did switch to battledome} Oh, and I can afford to get 56 of these with my plot points {and have a few points left over}, making me over 1.1m if I sold them at 20k, if that makes it easier to rationalize. i say switch right away so i can take your spot in wearables and i can move up:P lol but ya do what makes you happy thats what matters. i was asking this same question a few days ago and right now im 99% positive wearables is gonna make me happy. but u seem 100% positive thats bd/magic would make you happy. Also the AC prize points i would hold out for awhile longer and possibly sell each item at 40k each instead of 20k. but im patient. oooo and yes your plan seems very logical and well thought out:)

P:[/quote] I think your plan sounds very logical and well thought-out. I would wait and stock up on the new category items and start making an effort to liquidate since it can take a while if you don't sell at bottom of SW. You should make a great profit this time of year because school-age kids are out about 3 weeks total in America from now until the first of the year so it's like a mini-summer as far as sales go. I would go ahead and buy the AC items that you discussed but hold on to them! Wait and maybe add them to your new category stock so they make sense and mark the price up and stock only one so when it sells you can check the price again. I hate when I have 5 of something in-stock to wake up and find them all gone because the price shot-up overnight - case in point Orange Juice/Gourmet Cooking For Your Pet (Bonjou Avatar). I can't see a huge flush of that item any time soon and the longer you don't sell yours theoretically the higher the price will go. If the item is worth that now what will they be worth after the next AC? Do prices go up like retired items or do people tire of them and hold-out for the next big thing? I have no experience with that stuff because I STINK at Neopets soccer- Yooyuball, whatever *tosses hair* *lol*! ~ Mimi ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~ temps_bons graphics ~ http://www.neopets.com/~Mimi_Miaulement

thanks for the advice! {: yea, i've already stopped restocking some of my wearables that've sold, starting to ease my way out of the category. P: eventually i'll just reprice the ones that haven't sold at cheapest on the wiz and move right into the new category. {: and yea, i'll probably do that for the shields, mimi. thanks again!
