Movies

So we have a book thread, I figure another thing we all have in common is that we like to watch movies! What are some of your all time favorites as well as good/bad movies you've seen recently? The last movie I've seen in theaters was 'Brothers'. Excellent movie, very say though. It's about a guy that goes to war and how his family at home deals with it. The last movie I've rented was "Shrink". It's not a big movie, and most of you probably haven't heard it. Kevin Spacey is in it and it's definitely rated R, but it was good, in a different kind of way. He's a shrink and it follows both him and his patients. It's a little hard to follow, but it wasn't terrible. Not excellent, but not bad. All time favorite? Hm, hard to say. Shrek and Finding Nemo are favorites when it comes to animation; Comedy I'd have to say Little Miss Sun Shine and Death at a Funeral. Romantic comedies...... are my all time favorites and I can't limit it. Dramas would be Seven Pounds, The Bucket List (drama/comedy), Life as a House (sad comedy), Pursuit of Happyness (sad/heartfilled). Anyways, enough about my favorites, lets here yours! Feel free to post after seeing a movie with your reviews on it.

I don't care to watch movies like The Notebook. I may be a girl, but the more explosions in a movie, the better B)

Never watched it but I've heard its good Sean! If we're going to include HBO series The Sopranos is my all time favorite show. ♥ Spare a vote? http://www.neopets.com/beauty/details.phtml?pet=angusstino

You have already voted for angusstino. You can't vote for another Kau again till the next contest. Sorry. :-( ---- xD I totally forgot I had already voted. Anyways... Man, I totally have the songs from The Princess and the Frog stuck in my head, too. Especially Evangeline. I really loved the movie - the songs, the general atmosphere/ Mardi Gras, the time frame, everything. ('cept the 'gater) I watch more old TV series' than movies... Sci Fi, mostly. I love: Musicals. Singin' in the Rain, Sound of Music, Hello Dolly, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Fiddler on the Roof, the Music Man. Movies made from books, even if they're bad/horrible: A Wrinkle in Time (some TV version I think), Pride and Prejudice (er, 3 or 4 versions), Little Women, Anne of Green Gables, Bednobes and Broomsticks... My favorite movie growing up was The Brave Little Toaster. And I love anything Sci Fi. I generally love oldish movies. An American in Paris puts me to sleep, though. Recently watched: An Affair to Remember, The Princess and the Frog, UP, and this REALLY old black and white movie that was TOTALLY cool but I have no idea what it was called. This girl wanted to be a movie star (she was working in a dress factory thing), and she DOES become one, working for a traveling company, putting on shows on the road, then she gets involved in 'Talkies', and there's this guy who she's in love with, who criticizes her acting... and she does all her own stunts. I watched it while I was sick, and I have no idea what it was. /end rambling
