Ok, so I deleted the file as the program said--now I get an error about user password--then runtime error. Totally suggest an easier way in the future Books! Reasonable Prices!! http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=kermat13&misc

Dmitri provides this service free. I assume when he has tested stuff such as the above himself he has had no problems. Therefore if you don't like it, how about next time you write your own portal, see how easy you manage that. ___________ Kirsty aka "the sensitive one" Silverdragon siggy stealer Tasty tent seller
To be perfectly honest, this is the kind of attitude that I hate which is commonly associated with free or open source software. Just because it is free does not mean that users are not allowed to make suggestions on how to make it better without having it shoved down their throats that somebody spent lots of time on it and if they don't like it go and write the program yourself. I'm sure that kermat loves the portal just as much as anybody here, but without users pointing out some of the very few flaws there might be in it, how will it ever be improved?

The Portal 9 is discontinued. It will no longer be updated. We're migrating to a enhanced version of the web version. Much easier to maintain anyways.

I never said there is anything wrong with making suggestions. There is something wrong in the way he made the suggestion. In rather an arsey tone! Be an ass and i'll be an ass back. So a polite comment would have been all that was needed rather than moaning because it didn't work for them. Like I said, if they don't like it, they can go elsewhere. ___________ Kirsty aka "the sensitive one" Silverdragon siggy stealer Tasty tent seller
Totally suggest an easier way in the future
Anyways that's the quick nasty fix. Another route will probably not work anyways. And since I'm a full time student, I dont get alot of chance to mess around with it anyways. Plus i want to use some of my free time for doing nothing too. (Currently, it's being used up for mall stuff, or server-level stuff for this site)

I appreciate the software as I have said before and there is NO REASON to attack me for reporting a problem. I resolved my problem--NO THANKS TO YOU who cannot create a helpful post RATHER THAN FLAME someone. NOW THIS is a post with attitude--so read into it--then reread it--and read my first posts agian--maybe you will understand attitude. Kristy "The sensitive one"--maybe your too sensitive! Books! Anyway, to delete all the items from the database you go to C:/Neomallers/users/(YOUR USERNAME)/db_shopstock. When you are in the folder open data_shopstock and index_shopstock in notepad and delete everything on there (CTRL+A and Delete). Open Portal, go to Manage Stock and you will see everything will be cleared and also be able to add new entries. Please give rep points if you like ;) ------------------------------- www.youtube.com/TKDJamesPakTKD Check out my Martial Arts samplers =)
