Should I be worried?
*unsure* I got a password reset email on the 26th (Friday) at 5:38 p.m. (when we weren't even home, aside from my friend who doesn't even know the password to turn on the computer!) when I checked my email, so I changed my password. Saturday morning I couldn't read my own handwriting on one of the letters, so I sent a password reset email to myself, and then figured out the password, and canceled it. Today, I log on ~3:15, check my email, and there's a password reset sitting there since 2:51 p.m., when I wasn't even on (nor was my friend, who had been playing Fallout 3 on the Xbox as I cleaned). My password has been changed twice just to be safe, and my Neopets/Neomallers password is changed as well, and that email isn't even my Neopets email, so the most they would get is my PF and other forum accounts. Still, should I be worried? -Rachie

You should be ok if you changed your password to your email and neopets, and cleared your cookies. Think about it for a second though, how would someone have found out your email? Change your password on facebook and other sites you may visit as well, just to be safe. Another option is to change the email that your neopets account is associated with.

Anyone can request a password at any time. they just have to use that forgot password thing and type in your username

No no no, the password reset email(s) is(are) FOR my email account. Like, if I were to go and log in to my email, and clicked "forget password" and it would send one to my inbox.... That's what I'm talking about. Which means it's either someone who knows my email (which is very few, only the sites I signed up to and my RL MSN buddies) or someone who thinks that it's theirs, or they're mistyping the email... Nope. windows live has its own set of security exploits. Seems to be somehow related to facebook. I think i posted a thread about random requests or something.

How strange! This happened to me a while ago but it was with facebook. It kept saying that the email was not registered and sent my email authorisation to change it to a different email address.
