I am so sorry to hear about your account sis, I sure hope neopets fix it up asap and give you your account back. I hate to think there are such nasty people out there that take joy in doing such a thing as hacking into someone else's computer. They have their day coming to them I believe.

I was today too, my side was iced but not my main. They got into my yahoo and got my words and PIN and the names & words were all different and not related. I dunno how they got mine either but I am pissed

this might be a bit long so please be patient. I have waited for this news that something has happened exactly like my cousin. He was hacked and then iced and his yahoo account was also accessed. His mail just disappeares randomly even if he didnt delete. There was no malware detected. The twist is that his account is just sitting there (raquza) is his username but the password is changed. He has tried sending a mail to himself but it does not work. From what i take from this story it is exactly the same as what had happened to my cousin. I am very sorry to hear you have been affected.

Gill, I am so sorry to hear this. *hugs* I emailed you. Another friend was compromised through their hotmail recently, but fortunately for them, they were quick enough to realise something was wrong, and changed their security there and on neopets. I think maybe 18 months or so ago, I may be wrong about the dates, others will know I am sure, whether or not hotmail, yahoo, gmail etc were hacked themselves, and before the sites were patched, a lot of account names and passwords were put on a site for others to read? btw this is the first time i have posted here! I have only lurked before.

Hey, sorry to hear that happened to you too. Im raquza's cousin and by neo account that got hacked is actually raquza. U know, I might have an idea of what might happen. First if you sent a ticket they may reply saying they cant return the account, then you protest, then some random thing sends you a mail on the email account saying buy xnp for $x, then weeks later, by some mystery your account comes back not in mint condition. That is what happened so far though I was online on my side for a while when they hacked my account, protesting and watching them ravage my account. Sorry if this doesnt make sense P.S I think the site mail, not sure was called neosales.org, google at own risk but dont go on it (unless youre crazy)

I have neosignatures and fonts blocked on neo. And plain neomail setting box ticked too. Hopefully that may help others. The boards look strange until you get used to it, and i see no smilies on mails or anything else, like links.

And i must find out how to change that pretty default star to something, when I remember and had copious amounts of coffee.
