Another topic on Image Hosts...
So Photobucket ran out of bandwidth on me before, tinpic converts my images to terrible quality when you use up too much bandwidth, and imageshack also has bandwidth restrictions that i will probably exceed. Anyone know any other free image hosting site with unlimited bandwidth? Thanks! :*

I dont know deeply of any unlimited bandwidth free image hosters. Usually any site that offers unlimited bandwidth (for any purpose, be it images, webhosting, etc), they are newbies to the block, and they poof a few months later as unlimited often ends up being abused. I used to create several photobucket accounts and spanned my images acrost them to divide bandwidth. It ended up being to much a hassle, so I just gave up and went pro for the $25/year fee. If you google 'unlimited bandwidth image host free' there are some interesting results that show. First one I checked into was imgboot.com From their godaddy domain info, it shows they have been registered since 2005, so that may be a viable option. Generally though, with hosts that seem too good to be true, I am wary of

^ yep. took me so long to find the best host for neomallers. And of course, i was one of those noobs lol :P Didnt think running this site would be so CPU intensive that i would keep getting kicked out. Then i just took it to the next level and all is (usually) sound. Our uptime is pretty good. ----------------------------- Contrary to popular belief, the Irish and I are not married

Ooookay signed up for imgboot just to try. and you were right, it is too good to be true. you can ONLY use the links they provide, which links to their website. otherwise they delete your account. :P I don't know, I'm kinda reluctant when it comes to paying money for neopets stuff (otherwise i would have gotten premium looong ago). *unsure*

So far I think Imageshack seems to be working okay with Kinder, since their peak hours during the day aren't *too* terrible if you ask me since most Neo-players at night especially home from school, seem to be online most then. I don't get most of my hits during the day when I'm not home XD Imageshack is supposed to be the best of the free hosts - I looked into all of them. But each of us mall managers hosting a banner or making them span a few Photobucket accounts like Whispering said doesn't sound like too bad of an idea between multiple branch managers like our mall in particular usues. I have 2 accounts on there anyways *lol*

You should just host the images that you create for yourself, and the images for other people - get them to host themselves.

Kimmie I'd love to be able to do that, but if I did, the images would be scattered over half a dozen accounts or more. Plus it'll be difficult to edit if i ever need to change anything... Mmkay Haley guess i'll stick with imageshack for now, but right now the Kindergarten mall banner is the really the only image hosted there. lets hope it can handle a couple more huge ass pics :K

Leah - I had another idea so everyone splits the bandwidth a bit. Is you have groups of 3 or 4 or so upload the banner and share their link and assign it in groups, so the bandwidth is only split between 3-4 mallers instead of 12. Not sure how effective it'd be but it's not too hard to do.
