When I joined codestones were really high (because of the faeries ruin plot battles) then they got lower and lower and lower until they seemed to stabilize around 7900.. Everyone says how this time of year they don't get a lot of hits. Suddenly codestones have been going up and up (today they are 9k and up, yesterday I still bought some at a bit over 7k, as they were last week).
Does anyone know why codestones are going up again?
And if they will keep going up?

I've been lazy the past few weeks and have not been stocking my shop, nor even sswing stones, but I'd lay my guess that prizes for KeyQuest have changed to a theme or special items. A great portion of stones from end users come from KeyQuest, and sometimes KQ does themed prize giveouts, instead of stones and stamps and stuff like that.

Key Quest is giving out Valentines items which dilutes the prize pool meaning less codies and map pieces go into circulation. I always bulk buy a load of codestones for training the second I hear about seasonal prizes.
They won't hit the heights they reached during the plot, but a 10-20% increase is normal.

The neopies were giving out CS as prizes. That kinda flooded the market and really drove the price down. Now that the neopies are over CS are going up again. Just normal supply and demand thingy, not anything else. - peter

i remember when the highest price for all of them was 3.5k, but that was 5 yrs ago.
