Is there a way to search for a neo member to contact them here at neomallers?
Either by using their main pets name or by using their Neoname but not all ids have this so I was thinking by main pet name. I hope this is not a repeat and I just have missed this being talked about as I was away from the site for a bit. :D

Not directly no. However, what you can do is.. if they have a counter in their shop, right click it and the filename is the neomallers username

Thank you very much for getting back to me so quickly! What do you personally think about a search using the on the main pet name as a way to locate them? Not everyone uses the counters and hides by their id being different which I think is sort of silly...
I ask this as a way to be able to talk with them as now you cannot even type the word Email into a neomail without getting a wonderful spectacular TNT warning. This being our place of freedom, where you allow us to talk (adult like) in our messages. I am careful in my posts only because I know their are kids that use the site too! But we have freedom in our neomallers mail system to talk a little more adult and can chat about family and such. In neopets we can for the (moment anyway) type neomallers without a warning hit.

Hello again!
Although the idea is great, I still probably wont implement that simply because there were some cases in which the not-so-great users made use of the public profiling system as a scamming means. DOnt know if any of you noticed but when the scamming and hacking was at its peak, i disabled the public profile for anon users. It's back up now but...
anyways,as mentioned here already, there are cases in which some people dont want their usernames known for one reason or another.. and it can't be done for that reason as well as some performance issues - all 8000 users would need an "initial" sync since the tables that hold the neopets username is different. Referencing to this different table would take extra processing power so all this data needs to be first copied over to the site's main user database.
