1np sales. (just hide a few 1np junk in your shop.. and go to the shop boards and say "OMGOMGOMG 1 NPZ SALE!!!!!" 1000 hits in a few seconds and guaranteed #1 top shops at least two years ago. On a more serious note, dont do that. All you get is hits, no profit :P

Have puppies and kittens playing together in a cardboard box in your shop window. Pulls in girls and their poor poor boyfriends like NOTHING! Seriously, read every thread on these boards. You'll come away saying 'wow, what did I get myself into!?'

Specialise in what you sell. It doesnt have to be what is known as a regular category. It can be anything. When i first started as a shopkeeper several years ago, i had those fuzzle toys. And i sold them over and over again every day for ages. It worked and my shop gradually grew, and then i started selling other things. When you can keep your shop full and priced every day, that is when to upgrade a little, and just keep doing that. Backgrounds are good sellers.
