On the top of your FF window click Tools > Add-ons > Get Add-ons. Then you can search for what you are looking for.
:D There are some really awesome useful ones out there!

Some useful ones are adblock, noscript (make sure you whitelist the sites you use), all in one gestures, and flashblock

I LOVE adblock! I couldnt live without it! I reformatted recently and was SHOCKED at the amount of ads and pop ups that came from everywhere without it! 5 seconds later it was installed and the interwebz was purdy again lol
