Font suggestions for NB Advert?

Hiya, I've been working on an NB advert for my mall for -weeks- now and keep on scrapping the whole thing because I can't find a workable font. I need something that pops, preferably with a contrasting outline. Something thick/bold/heavy enough to be readable, but condensed enough that the words don't end up being too long/wide. Any suggestions? I put myself at the mercy of the forums. ;) - Brandy

Yeah, I'm a little back and forth on the buttons issue. On one hand I like the idea of less not only because the buttons can be bigger and easier to deal with but because that would mean less people to deal with...but on the other hand I also see a trend toward adverts having more buttons because it makes things cheaper for everybody. So are you -sure- it looks okay? Why do I hate it so much, then? Thanks, by the way. Alright I'll be blunt. It'll help you more then if I just said it looks beautiful every thing's AMAZING! -Do you know how to make the blogs fade like the ones on my banner? -I think the title should not be so skinny? try around with texts. -You could use non-so original items. Rather then using what everyone else would use. For ex. instead of regular codestone use red codestone. Does this make sense? Take a look at my banner. -Do you really like the border of your banner or do you think it would look better with a thin border sorta like mine? -I'm not so sure with the varying text. It doesn't look neat. Perhaps it would be better if you had thinner texts over the items and have the lettering even rather then "squiggly" -I advise you have less buttons. Make each button bigger. -Attempt to get as much as you can into the banner. Your proportions are only 540+532 or something. You can go to around 549*549 or something like that. -labelling the faeries might be a good idea. Ps:I'm bias everything is up to you. Just my opinion. :0 hope it helps

Merci, dmitri. Fortunately I am a tinypic kind of girl so when it comes to it actually ending up somewhere on neo that shouldn't be a problem. Sorry you couldn't view it (and yeah, I use adblock as well. Gav - yeah, I planned on labeling the faeries...just hadn't gotten there yet. I actually do have a version on my computer (which I'll upload now) that had the background faded out in the buttons rather than just coloured over. Nothing too exciting to see there, just the basic template. No faeries, no text other than title, no images inside of the buttons. I really -really- hate image editing. I need to find someone who is good at that sort of thing but stinks at css coding to do a job swap with. EDIT - okay, done. possibly forever. too plain? Im surprised you want your NB ad to different in styles/fonts as your mall ad. I like the Malls font and would have stuck with it. I like the fadded buttons much better tho =) I personally find the new ads buttons too empty and would ad a 2nd image to each, but thats just me =P Very cute and GL. Will this ad be just for your mall? Or open to others if your mallers dont want to participate?

I like the other font too (It's called "Japan") but I found that it looked a little bit messy... Me and Chelle/Joshiesmommy decided to make the advert optional, because some people just don't like to do NB ads for whatever reason. So we'll give our mallers first dibs but after that it's pretty much open house. Added a second image to each button. Too cluttered now? I can't decide. Also - scrap paintbrushes or meds in favour of maps perhaps? I think PBs are more popular than maps personally, but they are both good, shouldnt be hard to fill. I prefer with a 2nd image, but maybe get feedback from yoru mallers? :)
