Can someone help me?

I am trying to banner and information petpage for my guild and I am not doing very well at it. I was wondering if anyone who had GIMP or knows how to use GIMP could help me out a little. Please and thank you.

Don't know what happened to this thread but now I need help with GIMP. I need to know how in the world to remove the white background on all the items in neopia so they can be used in....well anything. What a pain! I can erase the color but it still shows up white...how do I make it transparent or cut the image out or whatever I need to do? I just started using this program so be as specific as you can be, please. I was just about to post asking the same thing!! I could not figure out for the life of me how to make the images transparent!! Any help would be appreciated :D

I haven't figured out how to do it using GIMP either, but for making images transparent, I have used another program for years that works great, and is very simple to use. It's called 'GIF Construction Set Classic (32-bit)', and can be downloaded free...just google it to find it. Hope this helps :)
