This has happened to me lots of times too. I had some sort of chocolate item that was selling for like around 200-300NP. I priced mine at 1k, eventually sold it, checked to re-buy it and they were 99,999NP! I checked every day and eventually it went down, and now it's at around 3k. In the meantime while checking a few times a day I had sniped 3 of them anyways, 2 for 125NP and 1 for 1k :P It also happened to me a number of times with wearables items. I think that randomly people just decide to inflate the price by buying all of them. It always seems to drop soon after.

Yep. Ditto. I sold 3 Cherry Jelly Swords in my shop one day for about 60k each, then the next day there were none on SSW and the trading post prices were 500k. LOL! I figured it was just a couple people deliberately inflating the prices, but they stayed that way for several months. That was like 6 months ago and now they are still mostly UB. I have no idea why. Weird! But the opposite has happened to me, too. Buy items for 40k and a few days later they are 3k. I've learned to stay away from newly released items for this reason, but it happens with old items, too. I think the Neopian shop restock game is kind of like playing the stock market.
