Trouble inputting sales History in Portal 7
Heya :) When I used the previous version of the portal, I used to copy my sales history onto an ancient MS Works spreadsheet every day, then when I had an entire day to process, I copied it from the spreadsheet into the portal and it worked like a charm. With the new portal 7, it no longer works pasting from the spreadsheet. When I try to do it I get an error saying it couldn't process my pasted sales history. I was just wondering if there is anything I can do to make it work like it used to, it was just simpler for me :P

Because your spreadsheet no longer has NP at the end of the price right? I added a error check that stops processing if the sales history wasnt inputted correctly So re-adding np will fix it, but maybe i can add a ignore error check feature

I mean, NP is on my spreadsheet, and is still there in the window where you input the info. It will process it, but I get the error message when I press 'confirm'. An ignore error check feature would be wonderful :O

Please follow the instructions found here: http://www.neomallers.com/node/18 It's pretty straightforward and nothing to type. Just CTRL+C and CTRL +V into the 2nd box in Portal

Ok i see what's happening. Apparently, pasting from firefox to excel causes the entire thing to squish into one cell and hyperlinks it. I think even without the error checking, the portal should not be able to process hyperlinked data

I can try using a different browser, to copy my sales history to my spreadsheet, and see if that helps. Thanks for trying to help Dmitri, I appreciate it :)

Well i dont know but personally, you should just paste it directly into portal each time since Nicole tells me it screws up if you paste too much data

It looks like I'm going to have to do that :P I just tried pasting it to my spread sheet then to portal using Internet Explorer, Safari, and Chrome and it didn't work with any of them. You said Opera worked though? Maybe I'll download that and try it. If that doesn't work, I'll just have to try to get used to doing it directly from the sales history. It's just easier for me (I have troubles with my hands) to do it the way I have been, but if I have to change, I will :) You don't have to worry about there being as much data with my sales history vs. Nicoles...I put my sales in daily, and it's generally never more than 100 - 150 items :P
