Having Problems Updating

So I have Version 6.8.1 and update using the Updates portion in the portal. I unzipped the file in D:\NeoMallers (that is where I put neomallers) and then it automatically opens and see the starting page (the page where you'll see the START PORTAL button) with the new version (7.2.0). But when I close it and re-open it again, it again shows the starting page and itis back to 6.8.1. Is there anything I'm doing wrong?

try download the patch manually from neomallers.com/download I have no idea why it's doing that. Maybe it's some security software like McScamee or Norton Scamti-virus that's screwing it up?

I tried downloading it from /download too. But okay, I figured it out. lol. I was opening portal7.exe which was for the beta testing, but it was updating portal.exe. I created a shortcut of portal7 to the Desktop that's why I keep on clicking on it to open. Anyways, thanks Dmitri!
