New Servers

All right. It seems that things are going smoothly for now. Just got to test out the counter system and do a final backup and we'll be able to switch over. Normally, this process takes up to 72 hours. However, once the main neomallers.com site becomes inaccessible, you can access it here: http://s69224.gridserver.com Your counter service probably will screw up and might get zeros for a day or two but the good news is, you can still use the forums. More news will be posted here.

Ok we cant switch over to that server. there's nothing on it. Only 1 counter + no visitors on the main site. And i already used up 2.47 GPUs (which is a form of cpu measurement) I'm allowed 1000 a month or approx 33 per day. Imagine how much i'll use once i add in Xmart, the premade graphics, and 800 counters. Arghh

Did you ever look into yahoo's hosting? Unlimited BW and storage space. 12$ a month I believe? Supports PHP. I dont know too much about hosting, so I dont know if they have other things you're looking for =/ GL though ^_^

The word "UNLIMITED" translates to "SCAM" in the webhosting world :P So I think i'll avoid it. It's probably shared hosting which is unsuitable for this site =/ Thanks though ^^ And i need a little break lol. *been host-hunting half the day yesterday and all day today*

lol i dont think that Yahoo's hosting would be a scam since they are so well known. But yea, they just might not suit your needs for your site. Gl again =)

I know but it's impossible to provide unlimited resources. Every shared hosting has a fine print that says "We'll cut you off if you use too much resources" But what is too much? Depends on the provider. I went through alot of big name hosting companies and got kicked out of all of them. And this was last year when neomallers barely saw 10 people online at the same time

Ok after 2 day's of mostly continous searching, I think i'll just go with lunarpages virtual private server. Should be fine. Cost is $40 a month or almost $500 a year but luckily, some people have donated and these ads should help defray some of the cost. Now i need to take another break lol

nahh it's not done. This VPS business is way above my head. Never done it before and apparently they start from scratch which means i have to set up the software from scratch too. Been reading alot of guides too. Very confusing lol
