WHOA. I'm finally a member.

Hello, I'm shocked to see that I wasn't a member before even though I had been going to this site before. Funny how those ranks works. But hey, I'm happy to see that visually I am part of the neomaller's community. I guess Dimitri have to somehow keep track of whose actually participating in the forums rather than whose active because anyone can just leave their computer on and get logged on. But still... Anyways, anyone else feels weird about having to be not called a "Member" after being active here almost every single day?

Well, as you said, people could just leave their computer logged on and appear to be on all of the time. Really the number of posts is the only way to measure how active someone is. Of course, then there is the problem of people spamming just to get their post number up, but that is what Dmitri and the moderators are here for :) You have to remember that he just started the ranking a few days back and set everyone at slacker at that time.

The ranks don't make me feel weird at all. I kind of like being called a slacker.....:) Such the opposite from my normal self.

Yeah its just how the forums work... They work on post count, I know as I run a forum for my ps3 clan :P

Aren't members suppose to mean, part of the community? Does that mean that those others who aren't members just like you aren't part of the "Neomallers" community? I personally think it should be changed but again, I don't think it would since it does give an incentive for people to reply and post topics just to get to those higher rankings. Well there's a section called [quote]History Member for -------[/quote] which starts counting as soon as someone registers. People who don't post arent exatly "part" of the community since the "community" refers to those who post.

On my forum, posts put you into ranks, but that doesnt mean much... There are member catrgories which can be made, and you get added to them, like killercars5000 has been put into the moderator category
