It's also funny how you said people do them sales to increase their hits, but you are not one of them...yet you admit that your sales is a more honest way of advertising? I mean, doesn't advertising equal more hits? *unsure* It would probably help if you just told us WHY you do them 1 np sales, if not for hits/advertisement :) And I'd say "for privacy?" is a perfectly suitable answer to the stated question :)

ROFL read my first post. I DID say why I do them. And YES advertising increases hits. My point, which I also previously stated, is that I would do them even if I had no counter in my shop, therefore I didn't want to be grouped in with those that "do anything possible to get high hits" I also already said to ignore what I said because I was being grumbly and therefore oversensitive. You're right the 1 NP sales weren't brought up until I brought them up. But it has been in the past, over and over and over. And I'm grumpy sooooo ;) Kirsty, I agree with you, it is a risk of people trying to be report happy. I also put quite the paragraph in my 1st post that all items are NOT 1 NP and I've bought back items that people have accidentally clicked. Although I will say, with the complainers, there are days I feel like it's not worth it to do it lol.

And personally I don't see the negative in being one of them "doing anything to get high hits". I mean, more hits = more sales (most the time), so therefore every neopian maller should have a desire to increase hits. 1 np sales is just one way, others do NF auctions, NB ads, board topics, wiz pricing etc. Now, if the goal were to become top of Neomallers top shops list instead of increasing hits and sales, well then the whole point has been missed. I really hope this won't be the case on here - we all saw it happen on Neohero...

Granted, kirsty didn't do it, like I said I was just being grouchy, but in the past people have said that people only do 1 np sales to get to the top shops and that ticks me off lol. I was never on neohero so I don't really know what you're talking about there lol.

And about Neohero; let's just say someone ruled the top spot and did whatever necessary to stay there ;)

Literally anything it took, methods that Dmitri has made impossible to use and exploit on here thankfully. You are now visible to all members. De-cloaked :P My hits aren't so bad now lol! I'm torn on whether to use the cloaking option or not. I like the privacy, and it stops me focusing so much on hits, however, I like that the link in top shops takes you to your shop, and so therefore is potential exposure to more people....

Very true Kirsty, I was thinking about cloaking actually, but I like that people clicking it takes them to your shop lol

I doubt anyone who are portential customers views the top shops anyways.. other than to... check things up. My hits for example dropped since cloaking, but sales are still the same.
