Wanting to start 4m NB Advert - need buttons advice / graphics critism

There will be 13 buttons (yes, 13 is a weird number). So far I have 1 - Home/Garden (taken) 2 - Books/School 3 - Food/Drinks 4 - Collectables 5 - Training/Bottled Faeries 6 - Wearables/Backgrounds (taken) 7 - Petpets/Supplies 8 - Toys and Plushies (taken) 9 - 10 - 11 - 12 - 13 - What are some other relatively easy to fill categories? And do you think any of the categories already spoken for will be hell on wheels? Aaaaand what is a good day to post (not Friday or Saturday, I am pretty much unavailable on the weekends - unless someone I know I can trust wants to take on the posting, that is) Also, since it is going to be the "optional" nb advert for me and joshiesmommy's mall, I clearly need the name to be Shenkuu themed. Shops of Shenkuu Heights? Shop at Shenkuu Market? Something I haven't thought about yet? The banner (thus far) is attached. I'll reupload as it gets edited.
Thursday definately looks a good target for you then. You can always switch around and try different days out anyhow to see what works. I did well this Thursday just gone, but normally they just stink 0:-) I even ran an ad a few times on Thursdays and couldn't make my np back for the cost *lol* If you end up desperate, backgrounds works well as a stand alone button to sell off to someone else.
Is having backgrounds on an nb ad really that good? I really can't see making the np back to pay for the ad. Especially with 300k+ per button. Hmmm

Obviously 300k would be too steep for the spot. However since pricing hasn't been mentioned yet it is unclear what pricing method they will go for anyway - splitting everything equally, or according to how well a spot will do. We have our backgrounds button priced at 175k. However it's looking like our shops making enough for there to be potential to change that to maybe 225k at least and still be fine (our background shop does have exposure from both x-mart branches though) so I guess it's hard to say how a different shop would do. EDIT - To add further, I think backgrounds does better than something like collectables on an ad, maybe even books/and or toys. Many of the quest spots struggle to make their nps back.

~ May ~ Ahh *cough* well anyways XD But following the same line of thought, if you put the "not so good" spots on the top of the banner and the really good ones by the bottom, that might make you able to price them more equally... You know, since backgrounds is not that good but wearables is a really good spot (for example, not quite sure it is) and wearables would always make 300k out of the ad while bg might not, you might want to place bg on the upper half of the banner and wearables on the middle/bottom? Just throwing some ideas :P

hey, i'd love to fill that food/drinks spot. just mail me {here or neo} with the details {price, peak day, etc} when it's all figured out. :)

It's best to put a couple of appealing buttons towards the top too, just one or two, but on the whole placing slower ones towards the top is the best way forward yes :)

Nah can't be. :P The reason why I say backgrounds would not do as good is because the wearable spot would steal most of the hits. Most likely the wearable store would have backgrounds in it as well. It is the same thing as the food/drinks and bakery/sweets situation. The food/drinks steals most of the hits. But of course the bakery/sweets would do better than backgrounds since it can stock more of a variety of items. Perhaps with more backgrounds being released, the spot will get better in the future.

nahh books is definitely the worst main spot in a mall. Collectables is probably next though. Problem is, no one wants to read stuff to their pets, or look at cards/stamps/coins.
