I actually find the font you used -incredibly- difficult to read, particularly on the collectibles button where you had to make the font smaller....
I ditto that completely. Maybe a new font would be better. :D
The text is pretty bad, and the item images are old and 'chunky'. My just be me, but it looks like you've grabbed them from someone else's banner.
The text: It's usually best to use a simple font. I've always had a preference for Ariel either strong or bold. You can ad a slight drop shadow and outer glow (if using photoshop) to define the edges. Add some colour to the outer glow and you've got a nice looking text that's easy to read.
The item images look like they're hand-me-downs; reused. Either that, or you've (unfortunately) had to do the work via ms paint. Having nice new clean images helps a lot. You'll find that people respond to items that are rare, new, look good, and have some desirability. For this reason, you should search for items that are always in demand, have recently entered the economy, or are just well drawn; but make sure they can be easily identified if you shrink the size down. Most of the items you've got in the banner are the old style ones; most only have between three to five shades of colour and are roughly drawn (by TNT). I know it's a lot of work getting new images for your buttons, but you'll only have to do it once, and it will look much better. You'll also be able to choose items of a colour that matches your background; some of the current images clash with it.
The banner also looks too cramped, and isn't 'busy' enough; it's all 'button' and little else (and there's a lot of space between them). There's not enough there for someone to allocate a theme to your group. The font you've chosen has to be large (otherwise you cannot read it), and this makes it looked cramped. Make the font changes described above and you'll be able to overlap the item images and the text somewhat (maybe even the button border a little; can be a nice effect). Keep the buttons the same size, but compact them together more. Bring the draik(?) into view. See if you can bring all the quest buttons into the same line (vertical or horizontal), put some graphical bar/spacer between them and the other buttons, or section them off somehow. Maybe surround the draik with them...
What you've done so far shows you've got the skills to do it, but need some practice with the process :)
I know I've specified a lot of changes, but you've done a great job otherwise. Much better than some of my earlier attempts.
