Shopfront Advice

My hut hits leave a little bit to be desired, so I am wondering what I can do differently (aside from move to a different hut - I have a specific one in mind but I'm involved in a "war" right now and have had to spend nearly every np to my name on weapons upgrades...so the hut move will have to wait) The hut I am in isn't -horrible- in my opinion. It is directly to the left of the Shop Wizard, so I do like that it's centralized. I've unfortunately dropped down to 3rd from the top in my hut over the last few days (which is a drag) although the top of that hut is inconsequential (they have a lupe and some text, that's it) and the 2nd shop in that hut, frankly, doesn't have as "cool" a category as I have.....SO I am convinced that it's my shop front that's the problem. And would it be totally weird to mail the person above me in that hut to see what his/her hut hits have been like in order to see if it's me or the hut that's the problem?

Well, you are 4th in the hut and there is a X-Mart mall member and a Ms_nuggler mall member on top of you. But I can really see that X-Mart person sucking most of the hits since their shop banner and mall banner REALLY stands out. X-mart definitely has the best mall banner around. Though I don't see any problems with your shop and everything seems fine.

blech, that Nuggler person wasn't there yesterday. the problem with moving huts right now is that every hut for like the next ten+ huts I would be worse off than this one (cuz of the alphabet and all) and all shoved way down near the bottom. lol best case scenario for any of those huts is that i end up on the bottom of one but get bumped to the top of the previous hut 24 hours later. ooooh, that almost sounds good.

My bookstore is selling the entire CS4 suite (which includes illustrator, indesign, and photoshop) for like $300, as opposed to the $2000 so yeah, thinking about upgrading since I need to get my hands on illustrator Cs4 for course related stuff

I always thought your shop front looked really nice (I remember when you were in Nuggler (I think) too since we were in the same hut a lot). The only thing I could think of would to maybe make the pets a little bigger in your banner to show off the customization a little more. I'm not a graphics expert though, as my own shop front would attest, so ... And I did pretty well in that hut, even when I wasn't at the top. I stayed there as long as I could (though I found better or equally-as-good huts since I moved out). Or maybe I should say that was the first hut where I remember my hut hits not being horrible.

The last one was clearly a joke.[/quote] Well i hear Cs4 is capable of making 2000 x 2000 pixel mall banners that blink red, white, and yellow at 100 frames per second so yeah, pretty excited about it :o @killers - i only buy software that i like ;) The rest just ends up on my hard drive from various friends, sites - magically. just like that.

I -do- hate the look of a zillion banners in a person's shop (especially if they don't match the colour scheme of the shop or are different widths than the mall banner - but I know I won't do that) but maybe that really is the answer. Or maybe I am just being a big crybaby over having hut hits in the red. they are never SEVERELY in the red, just like 5-10 below page average...but it irritates me.
