Shopfront Advice

My hut hits leave a little bit to be desired, so I am wondering what I can do differently (aside from move to a different hut - I have a specific one in mind but I'm involved in a "war" right now and have had to spend nearly every np to my name on weapons upgrades...so the hut move will have to wait) The hut I am in isn't -horrible- in my opinion. It is directly to the left of the Shop Wizard, so I do like that it's centralized. I've unfortunately dropped down to 3rd from the top in my hut over the last few days (which is a drag) although the top of that hut is inconsequential (they have a lupe and some text, that's it) and the 2nd shop in that hut, frankly, doesn't have as "cool" a category as I have.....SO I am convinced that it's my shop front that's the problem. My hut: http://www.neopets.com/market.phtml?type=list&limit=570 Does my "Fashion Emporium" banner at the top of my shop really suck that badly? What can I do differently? And would it be totally weird to mail the person above me in that hut to see what his/her hut hits have been like in order to see if it's me or the hut that's the problem?

Yeah it's often better to be in a crappy hut since good huts tend to be overloaded with everyone and their sister so it's harder to stay on top and nothing much you can do. For instance, you upgrade, you get sent to top of the hut above it but if you dont upgrade, in worst cases, you might be at the bottom of the hut below your target one. This happened once with hut 530. A particular shop size spilled over 3 huts. Anyways, i just hate lower huts. It's so freaking impossible to control it. however, with higher huts, just a drop out of main might give multiple huts. But then again, everyone's slowly entering the 1190 range. and more people are starting to enter my hut so i guess it's time to kick up hut 50 to size 1300 lol

*looks at my hits* *looks at your hits* *smacks you with a fish* :P
*looks at my hits* *looks at your hits* *smacks you with a fish* :P
its not fair, is it? :P He's got nearly TWICE as many hits as me :K And my customers are cheap, out of the 300 hits I've gotten today, I've only sold 3 items :K granted, my items are hideously marked up, but still :P

I only have 28 hut hits and i'm always in the red for shop wiz (its usually around 30) But then again, i'm in spooky right now so that's probably why

Darn you Dmitri :K Xmarts members dominate my hut :P I bumped stockbroker off, now noob steals top spot :k

lol stockbroker usually upgrades quite fast though. If not, Kirsty or I would show him a picture of irish and he'll move in an instant (A)

I typically do really well with hut hits. One day I broke 200 hut hits [at some point in the last week or two], I believe. & that's when I'm second. I could only imagine being first. Of course, as soon as I say this there's going to be even more competition for my hut - as if the *new* random shifting isnt bad :K
palazzo used to have like 8 members in that hut - wonder why they moved out though
There's quite a few above me right now, though typically they aren't. I think the shifting brings them in and out. There was a good 2-3 days with no shifting, but recently it's started back up.
