[NEW] NeoMallers Portal 9.0A Beta

Ok. Beta testing for NeoMallers 9 is now out. It is another attempt to address the item reset issue found here: http://www.neomallers.com/node/1828 It also fixes some performance issues in shop front such as lag. The main interface has been updated to show some brief summary of your sales as well. There was a bit of coding that messed it up You can get this version (to either replace portal 8 or run along side it) www.neomallers.com/downloads/portal9.exe You should download this to your current neomallers folder More will be coming for the actual 9.0 version but i needed to get the item reset issue fix out there. Post comments and whatnot here ^^

I have done this before and it worked great. I changed the price bought at in the portal first; opened the raw sales data txt file and changed the sales history then.... be careful doing this -- I deleted all of the sales history info in portal, copied and pasted back the raw sales data into the portal. Isn't it supposed to unzip something? Anyway, it messed up my Norton (don't ask) and 2 hours later I still have 8.5.1 and 9.0a which is empty. Can't wait for the Web version! Sorry to be such a pain. Should I wait til it's out of Beta and try it again?

Should I wait til it's out of Beta and try it again?[/quote] Let me see if I can help: If you right click on the shortcut you use for the version of portal you have been using it will tell you where you saved it. Go to that folder -- you have to save the 9.0 version in that folder. You are probably downloading the program just fine but it can't see the database you were using before (in your "users" file) so it doesn't know to update it and is just blank wanting you to create another profile. Did that help? When I go to my downloads and right click, it opens to a new window. When I click run, it open Portal 9.0 and asks me to create a new profile. 8.5.1 worked just fine. (when I right clicked that one and ran it, it asked to allow the file and after I said yes it took me to Unzip files window I clicked Unzip and it worked no problem) 9.0 doesn't ask to Unzip the compressed file. It doesn't even take me to that window. Is it supposed to? I'll fiddle with it later, or maybe someone with the same problem can explain it better.

Thats because i didnt compress/package the file. You have to save the file directly into the neomallers folder. Probably should use IE to download and save it to your c:\neomallers folder because firefox has a nasty habit of saving it to its own directory without saying anything

You're right FF saved it to it's own folder. It worked in IE, yay! Thanks Dmitri! It's looks really good, goes to try it out.

update1.exe by default extracted itself to c:\neomallers. anyway, when you go 'Check For' and 'Out of Stock' then change the 'buy at' price and press update, the item disappears from the list, even though you don't change the quantity of item in stock, forcing a re-check if you want to see it again... not a big problem but maybe in a future update :D edit: seems to do it on some items and not others... now im lost.
