Category Help?

I am looking to take up a new category. I am looking for something that is popular and makes some profit. Also, I am looking to have a category where I can stock at least 3 pages with about 300k. I don't want a very expensive category as I am starting off again from not malling for some time. If you think your category is good, please let me know about how much you spend restocking and the profits you make. Thank you very much!

-- hijacking this board (sorry leelo) -- I am adding paintbrushes and I would like to know the top 5 sellers by volume (could be paintbrushes or petpet paintbrushes). I have a list of 19 paintbrushes that I think will do well (the cheapest ones I see in the NeoMallers shops of course). I'll eventually stock as many buyable ones as I can but wanted to be sure I had more of the ones that sell the best. Also do these sell well: Kaleideonegg; Turnip Tonic; and Vortex Negg? I usually sell at least one a day. Quick profit. :)

Training seems to do well enough. If you have all the codestones/dubloons/faeries and you price them close to wiz you can sell out in a day lol (half the time I notice other malls buy an entire item from my shop (100+ faeries etc), then the prices will change and I can buy it back and still make a profit, I swear we're just trading money and items around a small group really and no one is actually buying any of the stuff to use :p.

I love grooming as a category on it's own...your first page needs to be decently priced then you can raise the prices a bit on your other pages for the impulse shoppers...grooming is a five or six page category... the majority of the items are inexpensive and the more expensive air faerie quest items are easy enough to restock from the main shop with a little practice and some patience...when i ran my grooming shop i use to average about 200k a day in sales with about 40-50k a day in profit not a large profit but it was enough for my stand alone shop....if you can get enough nps saved up to add in wearables then your sales and profits should double at least...

I sell Turnip Tonic (Meridell Potion) about once a week. Nothing great but reliable.

However, I only sell Kaleideonegg once every month? But then again, I overprice it by 20k-30k.

If you go with the Paintbrush/Morphing category: If you're selling the color and stat changing neggs along with the turnip tonic, you'll sell more (from what I've seen within my own mall) if you have an image explaining what it does. - Kara
