Hey everyone, this is Janelle. I have been logged out and my accounts are both stolen. Masterpeas, my pea chia was stolen and my UC Grey Aisha was stolen from my side. So, Mallers beware. Cookiegrabbers are alive and well.

Thanks I got them all and changed my info again, to be safe. The shops that I find on ssw they have a low price on item but when I go to shop it just has a background cant even buy item. I tend to report them shops so I am wondering if its a cookie grabber.

I am so sorry to hear about this! I had so hoped that with the new filters TNT had been able to put a stop to these jerks! I would definitely self-ice! I am pretty sure the problem is coding that worked before the new filters. The shopkeeper hasn't updated his/her shop so the old coding is still there but doesn't allow the shop to work properly. I have had one person fix their shop coding after I mailed them. He was very nice and thanked me. A random basic pet ended up on her account after masterpeas was gone too. :( I have been running into some odd shops as well but assumed it was the layout coding too. Some with the item not at the top but is in the inventory on the page.. and every now and then a blank shop with no items showing but also having a layout.

Here's what I know. I was using safari and have a mac. I have all kinds of protection. I was however stocking my shop like crazy two days straight before this happened. Masterpeas belongs to a side account I think of the thief. I think this because they had a bunch of omelettes and jellys up right after they logged out of my account and within seconds they accepted trades on all of them. They don't have a shop, and there were NO pets on that account when Masterpeas was adopted. I did not have a transfer free. However, my other pet on my side Sqwark200, was pounded in the hopes the person in possession of Franklinnc1980 could adopt them on my main. (Which is super annoying since I just transferred them to my side this week.) They failed and the person that has them claims Franklinnc1980 contacted them stating it was their pet. She did not give it back, and honestly she can keep it. Its a UC Grey Aisha, and I can't blame her. She's been more then kind in her details in her mails to me. Meanwhile, despite 5 reports from me, and a few from friends my main account is STILL NOT FROZEN. This makes me so angry because I think they intend on keeping the account. I called premium, and they say there is nothing they can do if I don't want to cancel premium. If I do that, I won't have it on the alias I still have on Neo. I will cancel if I don't get the acct frozen soon. I'm so sad today. I feel that Neopets if they truly care about customers need to see that now that there are items for real money to purchase there should be adequate security afforded us. This person didn't take fake money and pictures. They took my NC mall items I spent over $100 that was given to me in gifts. They took the access to my shop. They took my IDENTITY. This is identity theft, and just because it is virtual, doesn't mean this isn't serious. If on Neopets you can have their accounts stolen, then Neopets should be responsible if I do everything possible to protect my account from possible hackers. I wish there was another verification button to log in somehow that only is brought up if you are changing passwords or emails. Or maybe not let you do both of those in the same day. Anything.

Firefox doesnt though. @Franklinnc1980 Safari sucks and doesnt protect against Cgers. and i highly doubt antivirus software can protect either. I've seen the CG code and it often uses a simple browser weakness. Antiviruses probably wont detect that and i say probably since i dont use antivirus software. Just the precautions i wrote somewhere on this site

I hate IE. I figured Safari was more safe then then that. I guess I learned a lesson. I had FF installed, I just didn't want to move all my bookmarks. Yay me.

Nah safari, ie and every browser (including firefox and Opera) can be hit by Cgers unless you do something with them. And out of Firefox/Opera, firefox is easier to configure but Opera is ALOT more powerful when it comes to blocking stuff like this. However, it's also a pain in the ass to configure too since the entire thing is based on a thing called UserJavascript and cookies.
