Now, I am still new to this since I just downloaded yesterday. I wanted to know, is there still no way to track the sales of items under 1k? I see that it detects the items when you copy the shop front in, but does the program allow for the fact that if you had x-number of items, and 2 are gone, than x-number times two = number of neopoints? I read all of the tutorial guides the best I could (there is a LOT of information). Also, those of you who do use the program: What is your favorite part about the portal that you think everyone should know about? Thanks!

Also, those of you who do use the program: What is your favorite part about the portal that you think everyone should know about?Thanks![/quote] When you find your item click on the [emulation] button on the bottom right of the program. That brings up a screen that asks how many you sold, etc. THAT is how you track the <1K items. Not entirely sure what you are asking there but here are two answers: 1. When you paste the shop front all you are doing is telling the program what is in stock now...and adding new items with their prices if you have items in your shop that have not been added to the program. If you had 8 of something <1K and they are now gone and paste your shop front they will just disappear from the IN STOCK status. The program doesn't know whether you sold them; took them out; forgot to copy that item; it has no clue. You must do all your [emulations] and Sales History pasting before you copy/paste the shop front again. Honestly, unless I add a ton of new items or don't want to manually add how many more of an item I have just added; I don't paste the shop front. If all of my items were over 1K I would paste like crazy but my first two pages are full of items less than 1K. 2. If what you meant by your question is that if you had 4 in stock, sold two, the program knows that's 2X the item sold and multiplies 2X cost minus 2X cost AND subtracts the 2 sold from the 4 in stock. There are no simple logic things like that this program has missed. Favorite parts: 1. The sales/profit graph so I can see how I'm doing quickly. 2. Pasting the shop front so all my prices and in-stock items are added to the database without me having to type each one in! 3. That the program tells me which items went out of stock so I don't have to look through 11 pages to see. 4. Knowing which items are the most popular so I can mark the price up a bit, RS a lot of them and which items have never sold so I can mark them down and never restock them again :) 5. How much customers buy, how many times they've been to my shop, etc. I like to send thank you notes but I sell about 500 items each week and sending to everyone isn't going to happen! I only send to people who buy a lot or repeat customers. 6. Shop upgrade calculator!!! Takes all the guess work out of how much I need and how long it will take me to get there. ~ Mimi ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~ Mimi's Ménagerie ~ http://www.neopets.com/browseshop.phtml?owner=temps_bons&misc

Thanks so much, Mimi! You answered my questions! Sorry if I was unclear! It is really helpful to see what your favorite parts are so I can take a closer look at those things myself! I appreciate the time that you put into the response! Any other portal users...what are your favorite parts about using the portal?

My favorite part is of course the sales history tracking and comparing day to day data or even week vs week. But the most amazing thing that the portal tracks is the returning customers, I never paid much attention to who was buying from my shop so I find this really cool. The shop front database update, along with the shop upgrade calculator makes it an all in one utility for mall shop owners =)

Yup, I've been running the portal through Wine in Linux for a couple of months. No issues :) Although, currently I'm running it through VMware, because I've discovered that I looooove VMware, hehehe. It's like, bam, Windows at my fingertips! And then minimize and there's my Linux! And maximize back to Windows! Like THAT! As long as I don't run anything really heavy, lol... But anyways, Wine should make this work for Mac (OS X) as well. I told some that awhile back but I don't think anyone really wanted to try it, even though it's pretty much the only viable solution.
