Just thought I'd share this gem I found a little while ago This prank is to block websites (you can also have it redirect to another website). Great for pranks, or if you're a parent and feel like blocking all 193,947,803 porn sites out there. I used it to block facebook, as I never use it, yet my sister will sit in front of MY computer all day, playing crappy apps such as farmville. So now whenever she goes to facebook.com on my computer, she gets redirected to zombo.com (a) Theres so much fun to be had! Heres how: Open Notepad (If you are using Vista, RIGHT-Click on Notepad and click "Run as Administrator") On Notepad, Click File - Open, then choose Computer - Partition - Windows - System32 - Driver - Etc, Then on the drop down menu that says "Text Documents (*.txt)" (above the Open and Cancel buttons) choose All Files. Now open the file "Hosts". Now if you want to Block a site (so if the victim goes to the site, it'll say there is an error) at the bottom of the file type this: BTW it won't let me put tabs in my post for some reason, so where it says TAB put a tab. 127.0.0.1 TAB www.WEBSITE.com 127.0.0.1 TAB website.com (it is important to put both lines, one with WWW, and one without. Now press save, and voila! To get rid of the block, just go back to the file, and delete what you put in. These are instructions for Vista, XP should work similarly. Enjoy :D
