36,000 Dollar Scholarship!!!!

I got home from a fundraising dinner I helped host last night, around 12 am (midnight). I found a letter from the University I had previously received a Scholarship offer from, of 17,600 dollars. I just about had a a heart attack when I read the letter, seriously. "We are pleased to inform you that you have been chosen to receive the President's Scholarship. This award is 9,000 dollars in the 2010/2011 academic year and renewable for 3 additional consecutive years if you maintain a GPA of 3.33." That's probably no the exact wording, but I just HAD to tell someone! I was jumping up and down around the house until 1 am. We raised around 36,000 at the fundraising dinner, and now I have a 36,000 dollar scholarship!

Very nicely done:) congrats!

It covered all tuition, but she would have been better off going to a community college and living at home. Make sure you don't have that problem! --- Step outside, take a breath of fresh air, then look down to see if you have a new text message.[/quote] It's to UNBC, and it's only 5,300 to live in residence for 2 semesters, and 4200 for tuition for 2 semesters. I won't have too much of a problem, hopefully. I've also saved 22000 dollars from working (I've been working part-time since 11, and full-time in summer) ________________________________ Are you feeling lucky? Click Here!

I had a $750/each-year scholarship but lost it after second year because my gpa wasn't high enough lol It makes me sad when I think about it. =/ But doing an internship this year has made my wallet very happy =P Anyways best of luck with university. =D

My work term started in January and will be ending mid December. Then I am going back to university for second semester of 3rd year. Its been an amazing experience. =)

Awesome job! Enjoy college and meet as many new people as you can (and, of course, study, because you're paying for it now :P).

Sounds great then! Good luck! --- Step outside, take a breath of fresh air, then look down to see if you have a new text message.
