Price wars

I was just wondering if you have ever been in a price war with someone. I have a newbie who is stocking 3 or 4 of the relatively cheap furniture and garden items at ridiculous discounts. For example, yesterday it was Fire Bushes for 800np when everyone else had them for at least 1100np. *angry* So do I keep pricing under him by 1np? It might drive him away but will probably deflate the items which I don't really want. Do I price higher than him in the hopes that he'll eventually raise his prices? Do I buy from him? (cringes at the thought) Should I just let it go? Any thoughts on this? *unsure*

Just because you arent the lowest on the ssw, or even the sw doesnt mean your not going to sell. His is going to sell, then yours is. Hes restocking the easy items at the neohome/furniture store and no way he can deflate the price alone (: either you buy it and make profit or someone else will :*

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE LOWEST ON SSW OR SW TO SELL ITEMS! You don't even have to be lowest to get SW hits! I sell stuff daily through SW that was no where near the bottom of the price-range. It happens, it's wonderful and just let the Newbie run him/herself out of items while making very little profit. Yes, I realize this is just part of the fun. I was curious as to what other mallers do when this happens. And what is the "best" strategy. I have to admit, every once in a while, I wave the white flag and over price- and yes it still sells *clap*

Two great minds think alike *lol* I don't have the space to spare, but I was thinking of underpricing if I have the items already. And buying them out, if I'm out of stock. :D
