Evaluate the limits and show appropiate work (not sure how to type it on here so ill write it out) The lim as x approaches 1 (x->1) in 1/(x-1)^2 I know that I have to make it so the denomiator isn't 0 when x=1 is plugged in, but not sure the steps I need to take to do that. 2.The lim as x approaches 0 (x->0) in {[1/(5+x) - 1/5]} / x (same as the previous, not sure how to get 0 out of the denom) 3. Find the value of the constant a in the following function that will result in it being continuous on the entire real number line:: s(x)= (x^2-a^2)/(x-a) , x does not equal a s(x)=-10 , x = a 4. A toy retailer has determined that they can sell 52,000 Transformer toys when the price is set to $7, and when the price is raised to 8.50$ the only sell 48,000 toys. Assume demand is linear, and that the variable and fixed costs for the store are $0.30 and $35,000, respectively. Find the marginal profit when 25,000 toys are sold. 5. Find dy/dx implicitly: e^(xy) + x^2 + y^2 = 10 6. Find the derivative g(x) = log (base 9) [(x^2)/(x-6)] 7. y=5^x
