I have a very good internet connection, a fairly new computer, and I type VERY quickly (100+ WPM). Unfortunately, if I start SWing the remainder of the books, that means I will have to mark them up to make any kind of profit, and right now my books are the lowest or within 100 NP of the SW. If I start hiking my prices, I'm going to lose a lot of customers, and I'm not big enough to be in a marketplace (size 141), I can't afford to advertise (besides the lowest page, which I do daily), and my guild's really small, so only two of the guild mall slots are filled so far. So, I really wouldn't have much to get me out there. I like selling tons of low profit items still - that will probably change as my shop gets larger but I'm still in the hustle to get points mode. The high profit items I sell through SW and generally that is the only thing I sell to those customers -- what they looked up. People that come to my shop through other means rarely buy just one item in my shop...usually it's more than 3. I stock very popular/low profit (500-700np profit) items on the first few pages. I don't mind selling 150-300 items each day now that I have the portal and just put whatever prices I want on 85% of my items. I make about 150% profit on what I sell so I'm happy. I restock my shop from my SDB and buy in bulk when I buy items - typically on HPD for the low profit items and through the SSW on more expensive items that rarely restock because I'm just impatient! As for the expensive/high profit items: I generally hate them because I have gotten many of them that just sit in my shop (priced lowest on SSW) or the Trading Post (at the lowest price) until the value goes way down. Clearly I am getting the wrong items if the prices fluctuate that much but food isn't like magic or weapons as far as price stability. I am sure if my shop were larger (only 1305 spaces now) and I didn't constantly run out of space I would let these items just sit in there until they sold. It all comes down to your philosophy of play and what you like. I love shopping so that means I have to move items to make room for what I buy and to free-up those points to buy more with.
