Endanger of being hacked!!! Please help!

There is this unknown hacker that is hacking into people's facebook accounts, emails, twitters and what not in my school. They continue to use these accounts to harass people. Obviously the hacker is from my school. Everyone wants to beat the shit out of this bastard but we have no clue who it is. Me and my friends are trying to catch this asshole but he is just too good. He just recently hacked my friend's computer but my friend was able to disconnect on time. Some how, he knows I was helping to catch him and now he is threatening to hack my computer as well. He new my IP address somehow and other info about my comp. THIS GUY IS GOOD. He/She is a serious A rate hacker. Any ideas on how I can protect my computer? My firewall is up and have netbarrier. He got pass my friend's firewall somehow though. For now I'm not using the computer much and have it off just in case. I am on a relatives computer right now. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Maybe you have a virus from facebook or so that he was able to access into. Just make sure your school password is long and contains odd characters. When I was in school, my roommate showed me how to pretty easily find the encrypted passwords of everyone on the campus' network. Weak/short passwords are easily broken, and many people use the same password everywhere. He actually cracked something like 120/1000 passwords in a matter of a couple hours and then emailed the results to the Computer Center to let them know how weak network security was lol. When I learned about this program, I never used anything less than 15 characters and always used some of those numeric symbols. Our school now actually uses that program to check passwords when we change them. If it's weak, we get an email that says "YOU'VE BEEN HACKED BY..." and we have to change our word within a day :P The person might not be all that good - they may just know what programs and commands to use, so definitely start with your password.

I have an odd thought... Why not 'plant' something in your computer/ several people's computers, and see who finds out the juicy (but false) information? Fake conversations on Facebook? A group that only 5 people can see? I don't know how you'd catch them... but a (fake) secret crush, or something the person will probably accidentally reveal they found out, could be interesting. Everyone who's involved would have to know. Not that this would help you not get hacked. Sorry :/

If your using wireless, is it secured with a wireless key? I've heard hackers can track stuff when a wireless isn't locked.
