Strategies for improving traffic to your shop

I'm sure everyone's tried some, & I've seen a lot around the boards, but does anyone have any unconventional (or maybe so normal it's weird) ways that they attract visitors to their shop? Maybe it was unintentional, maybe it was a cruel trick, either way, post 'em here! I like to freak out people with the thread title being extremely eye-catching and sometimes half true (usually because of character limits), or start it off with a question, like "WANNA WIN MILLIONS?" and of course, who doesn't? :P One time I told everyone Merry Christmas to get them to look inside my topic. :D (that was last week, actually...)

I've never played Key Quest before either. I'm going to read the tutorial and try it out.

Keyquest isn't too bad. I'm only a beginner but I have now grown angry. About 5-10 people quit right before I was about to win. Sore losers. And then it says "The Game ended abormally." Also sometimes the mini-games freeze my computer... I'm on a KQ strike for now.... I don't really have any great ideas to bring sales in, hence my looking at this board.. *lol*

The game does end sometimes and it is always when I am about to win as well. I mostly play KQ with guild members who have played so much they just let me win. If you want to play sometime I'll be happy to teach you how (through neomail in another tab) and let you win. You can only redeem 10 keys per day though. It isn't a hard game but strategy is key. There are some ruthless players who will take your keys, change the color, make it so you can't pick up the last key, etc. This is all legal and fair I guess but I would never play that way. I try to be sure the person has all the keys before I win so they get better prizes. When you play you want to play for 4 keys and two players. This way both players get a key (gold and silver). I played a 4 player two key game and I got stomped though I was about to win twice! I had a long 4-player game. The leader kept switching but I won in the end. I played three games. Only won the one. I'm happy with the prizes, but the game took so long to play. I don't know how people can spend all their time doing that. I was getting restless and wanted to restock. *lol*
