the lost password thing is not working because of a problem with the database server. As for retrieving the password, it is impossible because the passwords are encrypted in a one-way encryption. Basically, this means the server can only tell if a password is correct and cannot decode it

I've actually been having problems with my password. Twice now I've had to ask for it because for some reason my password decides it doesn't want to work again so therefore I have to request for it in order to work. And I don't see why you wouldn't want people to be able to gain access for their passwords. Here's why: If the database was hacked for some reason (remember that neopets sql database got downloaded and everyone's password was retrieved, since neopets does not encrypt using this one-way system) and all the list of neomallers passwords were stolen and it was unencrypted, would you like that? And I'm willing to bet some of you fools use the same password for everything. And passwords CAN be reset. We just have a hardware issue that's preventing the reset script from working properly at times.

im not sure about you but i use a different browser for forums and another for neopets, because i clear cookies and cache for the browser i use to play neopets everyday so the other browser stays logon to all the forums im on :P i have different passwords for everything so that's why XD

Actually almost all my passwords are different. Every bank account/credit card has different logins and passwords and Neopets has a different password than anything else because I made the password before they changed the rules so technically I'm suppose to change it but haven't. Yeah... though even if I say my PW's aloud people still can't get into my account, since I have a warped mind and crazy spelling. Like an outdated password I used to use, (V)0\/e(V)enT It says Movement but would be nearly impossible to guess even if I said "My password is Movement".
