I have portal 9.5 and when I went to open it today it gave me this message..
Missing Files. Unable to convert database system to 6.8.1. Your probably using a database system that is very outdated or no longer recognized by Neomallers Portal.
And then it doesn't update or anything, it just X's out. =(
anybody know what is going on?

Create a new profile and start over or keep using the old one. This is what happens when people neglect updating.

I HAVE been updating, and I don't want to start a new profile because I'll lose all my information.
It wont even let me log on, so I can't use the "old" version.

Is there a way to keep all my stock information, and still get the newer version? I updated when the portal told me to last time, I thought it automatically told you to update, that's why I have 9.5

Did you make any changes to the directory structure?
Also, this thread might help:

I'm not sure what you mean by changes to the directory structure? But I didn't tinker with anything if that's what you mean. It was working properly last night, and has successfully been updated through the portal before.
thanks for the link, let me go check it out =)

Well, they have the same problem with me, but that thread didn't really seam to solve it, the other girl came in with her problem and kind of trailed the direction elsewhere.
" it's not an error. It's trying to convert the database into the new system because it cannot find a valid key that tells the portal what format the DB system is in. Disable all security programs and run in admin. Chances are your firewall or something is screwing it up.
Or create a new profile and see if that works. "
I created a new profile and it works fine, but when I try to log into myself again, it still gives me that same error =(
