Pricing

What is the best strategy for pricing a store? I currently stock clothing/grooming and a few wearables. I just recently started stocking backgrounds.

I will be getting premium in the next two weeks. I am so excited. Along with that I am also downloading the neomallers software finally. I can do this because I finally have the windows software on my computer:D --------------------- MSPP lend please?

Same here, I don't think I could mall if I didn't have the ssw!

I definitely wouldn't be able to mall without it. Though I do do PBs and that's ok, because no one can SSW those.

I never use the regular SW anymore. <.< I'm spoiled. As far as pricing goes, I try to price slightly above the last spot on the SSW. If the lowest is 1,000 and the highest is 1,500, I'll probably price it around 1,550. My markups are anywhere between 300-1,000 Neopoints, even more for best sellers. Back when I was selling food, I would sell Ultimate Burgers for 3,500 when the normal price is like 900. Just experiment, and it is a good idea to bring in customers by selling right at SW price. It really does help. 8D

I generally have a rule on petpets: Everything ends in ,999, To make it look a thousand np less than the digit before 999 :P, Although it is only 1np xD For petpets, around 100-300 NP above lowest on SW. For avatar petpets, 500-1000Np above lowest on SW. For petpets over 20k, 1000np-5000 above lowest on SW. I generally try to be in the top 10 on the shop wiz for prices when I buy the item. Then once a month I got through and price everything so that' it's 5th on the SSW. Lather, rinse, repeat..
