~ May ~ I'm around the same size (well, 561) btu my goal is main market Luckily, I got a mall that has some main market shops and some smaller shops and the req is quite small (350, if I'm not mistaken), plus it's stable and doesn't pressure people... I'd advise you to upgrade to main market to, even tho you decide not to join a MM mall, MM is an interesting move and you're not that far away ;)

We are hoping that the mall you are in will grow towards a MM mall in its own right.. If you know you wouldnt gain anything from upgrading, them certainly do increase your stock. I see you are in a mall and I think upgrading will not really help that much -- looking into how much money you are putting in. Moving to MM with a mini-mall will honestly be close to useless. :) I must note you that moving to MM will NOT DRAMATICALLY increase your sales. Add + 5 hits, maybe and 2 sales. :D What I'm trying to put here is that you'll see very little change when you move in Main market unless your mall consists of ALL MAIN. I suggest, you increase your stock, or better yet, save for future use. If you're too scared to make one move or the next why not do both? Why not increase your shop size, buy inventory to fill, and then when you have enough increase again? Right now I'm slightly under 300 with my shop size and that's what I've been doing but it's still only costing me around 1-2k for each new item I put in so it's not that bad, plus I can get enough profit each day to upgrade a size so far. Yeah, I do a little of both. I really need to increase my stock, but I'm so tempted to stay near the top of a hut. When I was your size, I didn't care much about hut position because I didn't get any hits from it. I'd go up about 10 spots, then stock, up 10 spots, stock, ect.

your shop size is just about right to join the openings on one of the Neopian Malls and there are openings too. that way you can be part of a mall and still move up the ladder in shop sizes. My shop is approaching the 400 size mark so i have decided to fill my shop first and use the profits once it is full to increase the size as i go. and always adding to the empty spot to keep it full. everyone has their own thoughts on how to work their shop. only you will know what is best for you. good luck
